Absolutely. You can't be a good drinker without occasionally wandering up to a bar and ordering a pint of Peculiar Old Bishop's Dog's Bollox, or somesuch.

Rambo the Might Midge was a good though...
Can't say the same for Helga's Big Jugs, that was horrible, only tried it as they were changing the other barrels at the time...

So I would have said... Was watered down a lot though, and some came back for a second pint, even though the Red Cuillin was on tap by then

It's one of the things with a night out, not everything makes sense. There was a place my friends went to every week on nights out, they all said it wasn't that good, but all went there because the others would be there

, but then, it's the same with many of the Notts clubs, especially Isis. Fortunately my friends tend to prefer pubs.

Yeah, it is a bit
Trouble is most of the pubs around here seem to have a certain amount of plubyness. So it comes back down to what they are like.

Not plubs
Notts has some of them but plenty of good pubs as well. Shame the same can't be said for Hemel.

It obviously really depends on where you are, and I seem to be in one of those places twinned with plubland
It really gets annoying when your trying to talk to someone and you start thinking it would be easier to carry around a whiteboard with me and ust write what I want to say.

I've wanted a pen and pencil at times as well, often seems like the only possible method of communication

Unless you want to order a Baileys.
Funnily enough, the girls who I know that drink Baileys all seem to change their orders at that point.
