Well all the tough guys I know are absolute puppy dogs and possibly the best huggers in the world...so they can somersault and do gymnastics for all I care and I'd still love them !!

That's usually the case...that they're puppy dogs, etc.

I've gone through the blog - it's interesting that I'm not the only one avoiding certain people here on the threads.Sad thing is, I see they posted- and then I don't

yeah, there are people I have dealt with that have made my stay here a little less enjoyable...I suppose the difference is that I demand the last word...I don't like people trying to antagonise me which usually means that tanzen comes out ...

Having the last word ? Some of them are just too intimidating,and their comments are beside the point, not worth a further discussion - due to the fact that English isn't my first language it's too hard, anyway

No matter how sick it makes me, or how much I don't want to, I need people to understand what I'm saying...and they obviously don't if they keep doing whatever it is that makes me sick...??

No, I suppose not...hmm

Aah, but how do I explain when it is a wrong expression I used that has been attacked?
I sometimes wonder why everybody seems to believe there are only native speakers here, and why some aren't relaxed when reading an unfortunate expression

When people attack you because you misunderstand or misinterpret something I think they're just being petty...if they can't let it go after an explanation then they're probably just looking for a fight...

I got into a discussion where I misinterpreted something (English is my first language, I'm just no good at it ) and the amount of times I tried to explain or apologise...all in vain...

And even the people who are native speakers may not be masters of it

I wish I had an excuse...sometimes my English is just really really bad...but then, it has nothing on my Italian

Pretty much all I can say in Italian is "Dové il gabinetto?"

Ok, a complete phrase & a pretty essential 1 at that...got me beat!

I figure it's the only one you'd need to know in a hurry...everything else you can wander through a phrasebook...but when you gotta go...you gotta go !
