even paranoids have enemies. The question is whether we are paranoid enough. Keep in mind that excerpt comes from a book written by an avowed conservative.

This extract from the article brought to mind the copy of Popular Mechanics I was reading yesterday (from October 2004.) There were *34 pages* of articles about weapons, war and military, before there was an article about anything else!

Apple, you don't have to be so recent with your Popular Mechanics. I have quite a few very old issues and they seem to change in the 30's. Before that it was all *isn't Science wonderful!*
That's not to say that their perceived militarism is dominant throughout, though. The Space Race, the Shuttle, NASA advances, medical inventions and of course automobiles have all had a strong influence on the publication. As to it's current slant, I suppose it's reasonable considering Iraq and 911. Paranoia will destroy ya. 
This too shall pass.
Anhaga- you paranoid? I've always maintained that paranoia is the correct response if in fact they all are plotting against you...

I'm interested to hear that, cl zoomer...
One thing that fair blew my mind, was seeing an advert for a gun, in PM! I mean, there are adverts for guns in some American magazines! (Not to mention the adverts for cigarettes and alcohol all throughout them...)
