My impression concerning the year is pretty much 'more of the same'
The journal post, however, was my annual online token of remembrance: A2225639

very sad indeed.
We here in Spain have started to try to manage the problem of violence on women. Although the particular case you wrote about is not the example of the cotidian violence, it´s meaningful about one of the reasons that compell men to do such things: they can´t stand watching women behaving freely.
I don´t know what is the rate of these kind of deaths in your country or if your government care much about it. So far there are about 70 women killed by their partners.
three years ago, the Law against the Genre Violence was put into force( is that the verb?). It has helped a lot , but it doesn´t suffice yet.
Boys and girls need to be taught about that. Men should be too...
" more of the same"
not for me.
I´ve found a job a year after I left the last one ( too religious, they didn´t like me neither, I wasn´t one of "theirs" . the school was run by Opus Dei ideas) this school is "normal", it´s my first year in Primary, previous years I´ve been with teenagers.
and I joined this "club" in May. I like to come here and read people´s posts. have a few friendly ... I have a good time here, although sometimes I made a fool of myself. I´m too impulsive.
I like reading you

government policy toward 'women's issues' fluctuates here, but I get the impression that public sentiment is very intent on continually trying to improve things. The issues of violence against women and sexism in general are by no means swept under the rug or ignored. They are subjects of constant public discussion, not just on anniversaries such as yesterday.

The anniversary seems to have been little remarked this year. Life and the living, I suppose, move on.
