I know you've become increasingly disillusioned and fed up with this place..I don't blame you. I had a particularly nasty barbed remark aimed at me earlier and I sometimes wonder why I bother with this sht hole myself...but most here are decent enough and polite.

Anyway I really miss you. I don't ever remember you being unkind or sarcastic to anyone here, despite provocation. I can't say the same for myself though.

Hope you are good and post again. I know you are caught up with your elections as you told me by email...but you are still wanted here.

Oh, I'm still around.

I just don't seem to find much to say here.

Hi smiley - biggrin

Had a look at your blog just now. No you shouldn't worry about all those deaths in Beowulf..after his death..as you say part of the dance..

I liked your description of the play you saw. Glad it was so good.

But yeah life is a series of deaths. 'The words of Mercury are harsh after the songs of Apollo: ..' (Patrick Leigh Fermor)..part of the dance...endless peace would be a bit deathly if you'll forgive the contradiction.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the traffic on the wee blog. I'm not sure how South Korea and Tajikistan readers have found it, but, smiley - bubbly

Goin' to a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream this afternoon and then trying to run across town to catch the end of a Gathering at the aboriginal arts show I mentioned. And, it looks like I've got a venue for my "My Village" series in October. I guess I better actually get painting it.smiley - laugh

Busy, busy, busy!

I know you've said it'll be a long time, but I want you out on that Vespa!

Here it's been snowing for twenty-four hours again. This winter took forever to get here and now it's hanging around in the guest room showing no signs of packing up.smiley - erm

Bitterly cold here as well, by our standards. Northerlies for weeks. smiley - brr

I get a tiny bit better each day..but still a heck of a way to go before I get into Vespa territory..plus the chemo will be hitting in the next 10 days or so. Had a real panic/terror attcak today...my rock playing mate Pete had to help me with that...he says it's 'pain' we have to fear. It's really hard...crying helps a bit..but my old self has died. Lost innocence. This thing will hang over me like a cloud forever now...but friendship and kindness and warmth from others helps best.

I'm very excited that a long standing friend of over 20 years is back from Hong Kong..she had a huge stabilising influence on my life..a lovely person with a big family and a proper husband smiley - snork I couldn't believe how pleased she was to make contact again. Some people seem to like me anyway.

But I'm really big into art at present which helps with the Harpies...Please send me any art links of shows or your own work as things come up

Have replied. I really like that image...and the whole concept of the Village.

I can envisage a fantastic Opening for it in your community.

Hope the 'My Village' paintings are coming on.

I've made a few contacts with landscape photographers for advice to do with my plans to photo landscapes.

I'm full of a lot of anger at present, unsurprisingly, but try to channel it into creativity.

Seeing my friend Isa next week at her studio.

Seriously though it is such a cool project you are doing. Have you thought of setting up a Twitter page for it? You could inform people of date and location of show and even post some images..maybe after the show.

I'm going to do that at some point.

Of course all this depends on the hated health concerns.

Hope your daughter is in reasonably good health at present. She must be excited by your show.

Busy, busy, busy!

All well here.

Hope you're managing.

Actually, I hope you're improving exponentially day by day, but I know that's likely too much to expect.smiley - erm

The mental graph is very up and down..no sign of anything being exponential.

Slow physical improvements..but I can't plan anything for certain until I know how the chemo will affect me..starts in early May.

So that's my exciting news..

Excitement here has been the weird election campaign. Today the Westboro Baptist Church got involved, I hear.

We've had a bit of a `public health care adventure over the last 36 hours. Nothing serious and all well. I'm going to try to blog it if I get a chance.smiley - smiley

Have replied on your blog. That's a very uplifting and positive story. Thank you.

And it was great that they also had art in the clinic..like I've mentioned here..

Aside.

As well as all the angst my problems have entailed I find it concentrates my mind on the important things in life..especially to do with people and my feeling of connection and identitification with them.

Best wishes for your daughter.
