http://h2g2.com/dna/h2g2/brunel/F74943?thread=8289900&latest=1 No wonder ~ jwf~ is fed up. Apparently I'm a big danger.

Nope. Didn't see it and don't want to have anything to do with the rubbish on hootoo.

Just peaked at the aboriginal thread. Sophomoric rubbish piling higher and higher. I'm taking time away.
BTW, I've thought you seem remarkably easy-going lately. What a threat that must be!
Nope. Nothing here for me.

I wanted you to see it because its nasty bullying that really hurts me..I need my mates with me to deal with it having read it.
~ jwf ~ has sent me a nice supportive email though which I'll re-read later and reply to.

Yeah, there was a strange accusation directed at me on *that other* thread. Kinky encluded was something about "enabling the mentally ill".
It's a bitterly nasty atmosphere.
It's weird to say but I've found this last while spending time on twitface to be so pleasant, kind-spirited and mind-opening compared to so much here, which seems to be people talking to hear themselves. It hasn't improved.

I have to deal because I've read it, and it goes inside you...but I just got back from a little trip up to the shop. The pavements are an ice rink and everyone is sharing the actual road with the cars..which gives a slightly strange but fun carnival atmosphere...but how nice and warm the Kurds were to me as usual....I'm not perceived as a 'threat' or 'danger' by them apparently...but then they've experienced that in real life in a way the keyboard warriors of h2g2 could only dream about...

Oh god I just read the 'go back to enabling the mentally unwell' remark on the Native peoples thread.
That is quite incredible.
He probably wants us all put down...well the one he's decided are unwell...

I was quite taken aback by that whole post. I don't remember him posting before to that thread, I know never responded to anything he might have posted, and yet he accused me of insulting his university education. And then threw in the enabling thing -- and what does that mean, anyway? Enabling addicts I understand: bring 'ell another rye. But how do you enable the mentally ill? Bring them another glass of delusion?
I've wondered of it rose out of a strange, ignorant, undereducated response to my use of the term "sophomoric" on this thread...

And, I thought about yikesing it, but decided it should stay in all its sick, tragic glory.

In reality as I experienced in Australia, the majority of aboriginals I encountered were addicts in the Outback. Even the children were sniffing glue from bags in Alice Springs.
Their whole world view and meaning system had been smashed by we right thinking westerners...like you'd probably find on that thread.

As for that post, yeah let it stay there in its tragic glory.

That description of the Australian situation made me inevitably think of Davis Inlet:

Recently I heard some wonderful writing by and being read by children of Davis Inlet.
I (and others) very seriously consider the First Nations youth to be the future of this country. In a practical, not a stupid Romantic or "Enlightenment" way.

I see another of the usual suspects has started a thread on her space...and so it carries on.
There was a phone-in here on the radio today about internet bullying and the psychological effect on some people. Parents phoned up and its heart breaking what's happening to some kids...
There was a lot of talk about the phenomenon of keyboard warriors ie people feel safe and annonymous to behave in ways they'd be sht scared to in real life. It's *horrible*.
I have a vulnerability which is well known...and that is used.
But I bet I've far more balls in real life....They wouldn't dare.
I continue with not taking anti depressants and feel far more *real*.

I'm taking a break from posting on Ask again. Samo samo...points scoring sht which ruins intersting exploration of ideas opening stuff up...and I get infected myself by it.
There's a particular person at present who seems to almost wilfully to misunderstand me..or maybe he's just stupid? It's *always* about Hammering things. Those students next door don't know what they are missing...and things had started to feel so much better I had even though I might casually mention this place.
Well not really if I'm honest. But it's so nice to find that other place...I'm sticking to journals and personal threads again.
