Sabra Girl

Well, when I got up this morning my mother was frantically searching for her car keys.
So, after dressing and showering and all the time-consuming fussing over myself that we all do every morning, I went downstairs to help.
Around 7:20, my mom gave up and kicked me out the door. "Walk to school."
So I did.
There were lots of tests and short periods today, and nothing much interesting happened until sixth period (P.E.) when the principal, the vice-principal, and the two ladies who run counseling ran out, waving their walkie-talkies and shooing us into the portables.
Thus, I was trapped in a room with eighty hot, sweaty bodies for two hours amongst dust, noise, and lot of clear view binders.
They released us about an hour after we normally would have left campus. Apparently, there was an armed robbery only a few miles from our school, and the criminals were on foot somewhere.
After I walked back home, I talked to my mother and found out that she had never found her car keys, so Matthew never went to school.
At least I got out of cross-country practice ( we were supposed to run our three-miler today).
