This may be all a little advanced for you but might be fun to try ...
If you see something you like you can see how it's done by typing http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpageXXXXX where XXX is the user number, for instance to view the code for my page type http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpage38014 - it's probably nice if you ask before "pinching" code but you can have anything off my page without asking
This will show you how to post links to your user page, add pictures etc - though you'll have to make sure that the "change style" button at the bottom of your page when you hit edit page is marked for "GuideML"
The syntax for a link on your space goes like this The Hunger Site
is all this Greek to you
How's it all going?? Enjoying yourself??

I`ve never thought about using a computer until a month ago. It`s but I`ve never used 1 until,oh,2 weeks ago.My Gary, who is outside at the moment, knows a bit more than I do but I`ve concluded asking an ace is far more reliable. your ever-so-clear directions look like 'computer-language' to me;ie-aaack,I don`t quite follow.JE was going to talk me through the process-but by then it was after 2am & things were wooly for me.I`m sure it has to be easy-just put:James Burke & then the reference # next to it. It`s the 'how(to actually do it) bit' that`s got me ??????? Neugen

another hootoo addict in the making
Don't worry too much about all that stuff - as long as you are happy at the moment that's the main thing - there's no rush to get into all the technical stuff.
Have you had a look at that "New Researchers" page that I linked to in my official welcome? It's a relatively gentle way to learn about this place.
In the meantime - if you need me just post to this thread and I'll make sure that, if I can't help, I will find someone who can
