"and my body resides in california(usa).I`d much rather be in New Zealand, but I don`t have a profession they need."
Hmmm what skill would someone in califonia have that my country doesn't need?

Thanks so much! My partner`s taken the stance that physically manipulating the computer is 1 skill he has more experience in than I,so his replies to my completely basic queries is . the 2 kids who live here, who truely did grow up with computers, graciously help.(although it`s so ingrained it`s hard for them to verbalize the process). Well, I`ve a BA in Anthropology-I excell in Psycho-Sociology,but discovered the major in the last quarter before I graduated. The idea was an MA in the afore-mentioned subject-but an ex decided the day to tell me our relationship of 7 yrs. was over was the day I graduated from UCSB with my BA.My way through college was to take classes that other kids raved about-in the human studies section of thinking .Math beyond Algebra 2 was wooly to me,as was computering back in the early 80`s. So I have no practical use at all to another country - except that of a rather over-educated-under degree-ed thinker.Mom was a child psychological-I`m full of advice of what not to if you`re a (diagnosed paranoid-schizophrenic mother).Plus modern wave theory makes perfect sense to me-the stuff in-between algebra 2 & it don`t. You could be a teacher. We're short of them here and if you get a degree you could be a higher paid teacher (they have a good union here)
I work as tech support, so I'm not too bad at explaining things. I've been toying with the idea of putting some illustrated guides online.

Really, really . You don`t know this, but my parents wanted me to become a teacher-so I naturally shy-ed away from it. Dad taught 1st English/Spanish at the junior (then mostly senior) high school.Well that is until his passion foe pottery took over, and my high school 1st offered 1 than 3 than all day schedule of pottery. The pottery`s name was the name of a Sci-fi short story "the potter`s of Firsk" thus,Firsk Pottery came into existance.I actually have taught! I`m quite shy in person so Dad told me I`d be his teacher`s aide for a summer-school class.I was ~16 then. Then, when 20-odd students showed up,he said "you teach". Boy,did things get wooly, and quickly! There is no way to describe 20 pairs of blank eyes-looking at you to teach them something! I muddeled through, but really-most of what I did is still a blank! Oh, the is in support of diagrames, pictures, illustrations, drawings, anything visual to back up everything esoteric(ie computers). The teaching idea is novel, and if I must become classified as a proper teacher, than classified I will be I`m 48????

ah you just need practice. This country is actually short on teachers (and police, who are being imported from the UK).
I've just come back from lunch with my wife, who, has actually been a teacher aid. She was doing that when I met her.
I hopefully will remember to post the ISBN number for the H2G2 book containing all five books. It really is the best way to read them and has a foreward from D Adams.
As for the illustrated guide I'll have to work out the best way.

Hi there!! I have a passion for a chap named James Burke,I think his accent`s English. At any rate he hosts a show called "connections(1,2,&3) in which he traces a modern concept to its roots. It`s dynamically-paced,teaches history efforlessly-& is just fun to watch! I think he`d be an awesome contributor to this site,as he seems to know how everything modern (nylons for example) originated. !

I`ve been lost in goo-land.Blue-violet is my favorite color-no wonder I was curious to find what lurked in the blue.I think I`ve jus used the conventional serch-engine of h2g2-which didn`t turn up anything.Does anyone here know of him besides me? I could research an entry I suppose, but I think he`d be an awesome contributor!

He doesn't need a site. Everyong exists somehow on the web, I can even find myself through google
As for transferring. You can reference sites in anything you write and, with permission, quote from external sites.

Gosh,JB, the guy whose brain created thr guide. That`s a stunning thought for me:not only did I just land yesterday, but my favorite thinker created the manifestation of the infinite improbability drive!!!

Hello,hi! Ive managed the dangerous drive back up Hwy.1 thru Big Sur, & am back in my house! Now-why do you think my ex & myself said that we were from Canada or New Zealand??? Hollywierd is as far removed from my psyche as anything can be Oh,my Mom got a teaching position at Harvard Medical School for a year or 2.I lasted 3 months in Boston w/her-but, I was "the girl from calif." The notion that everyone here is tanned, blond, & brain-dead worked for me then

I was with my wife in hospital (she's okay, recovering at home).
It's a cliche from US TV that teachers aren't paid well over there. Is that true?
Havard med, sounds impressive

oh,it`s when anyone`s in the hospital! I`m so your wife`s back home she`s not ! Oh,indeed, teachers are poorly paid/over worked/& basically left to raise the us`s youth,as both parents must work to maintain their credit-card debt. neugen

Mom was brilliant,paranoid-schizophrenic,but brilliant as a child psychologist.I didn`t appreciate Harvard,as I found living w/her a battle: to establish myself as a person,I had to live with my Dad-who I adored!
