well here goes this is it....

i was workin xmas eve at the job i now do not have ...they let me go early...so decided to do a bit of last minute shopping....at half past one in the afteernoon i get a phone call to my mobile...'ur dad is in hospital'...nothin serious he'll be ok...naturally panic sets in....my dad in hospital he's the strong one...he's never ill...was told i shouldnt go n see him until they finally got him settled in a ward...the only thing i could do was sit and drink until i stopped worry...that didnt work...so xmas day i set off to see him...got told he was in a bad way...but never expected to see him hooked up to every machine possible...never mind talkin to him...couldnt hear a word he was sayin cause he was on oxygen...the only thing i could look at was the monitor measuring his heartbeat...oxygen levels...lung capacity....and blood pressure....reason bein...they were going off most of the time and the beepin distracts u...welcome to intensive care...the only thing i could do was get even more drunk than what i did the night before...merry christmas...the strangest thing was...he would talk to u but...in mid sentence...his eyes would roll back so the only thing u could see was the whites of eyes...then he'd come back...and think it was an hour l8r...nope...he'd only been gone 2 mins...so for the next 2 weeks i was drunk...and visiting the hospital...new year came and went...then finally...they moved my dad out of the ward...he cant remember a thing about it...only the point where he died twice...he dosent believe in life after death...but since he actually saw the 'tunnel'...he seems to have changed his mind now...he went in with pneumonia...his lung's where what they call a 'white out'...but how could someone at the age of 52 be this bad with pneumonia...well he now has regular bone marrow taken out as he has got a rare disease that where he dosent produce enough white blood cells...so even gettin a cold could make him end up in intensive care yet again...today im not able to go an see him cause he just had intense radiation treatment...so in 14hrs..i will go n see him...in between all this...i was moving house....my head messed up as it were i couldnt think straight...i got nasty with ppl....looking back now...i cant remember January, Febuary...or even sum of March...nearly 3 mnths of my life have dissapeared...the job i was in wasnt helping much either...i was signed off sick...and put on tablets for depression...sometimes they work other times they dont...but hey im a strong person always have been until now...does it get better or is this the way life treats us???????

I honestly think things do get better not overnite but in time ....be strong
