I saw some pictures of you from the London meet and I'd just like to mention how jealous I am of your lovely blue skirt

Why, thank you
I like wearing it - but can't if I'm having a fat belly day because it's quite fitted round the middle.
*whispers - it was last year's Em-and-ess 'per una'.

I've seen you now (if only in photos) I don't believe you have FBdays...
I was hoping you were going to say "I made it from xxxx pattern"

Wish I could claim I'd made it myself - but alas, the sewing machine hasn't been used for quite a while. Used to sew much more when my girls were wee - those Clothkits clothes were great and I used to swap patterns with a friend who had children the same age as mine. Seems like a long time ago. Sigh.
Sounds like your own machine has been very busy recently.

oh clothkits! my mum used those - they were fab, I had the best dungarees ever from there (when I was about 15) and she had some great skirts.
In fact, not that long ago I made #1 a wee denim dress and painted flowers around the bottom - then i found an old clothkits rainbow embroidered badge and sewed that on too.
And yes, I can hear my machine calling me even now...
