Um this may seem a little strange.

OK, the author's British. The series was written for children and young adults. The books are about an abbey of mice and other woodland animals including squirrels, otters, shrews, hedgehogs, and moles. these peace loving creatures are often provoked by rats and other "varmints" into protecting their home, usually resulting in an epic battle (sometimes involving badgers). All the books are set in the medieval period, and all the books show no trace of humans. Except for the first book, Redwall, which in the very beginning has a driver-less carriage being pulled by a horse.

I can try to clear up any points or specific questions. if you want to read these books you should be able to find them at any large bookstore.

Thank you, PS. Were you initially joking with me?? I can well understand now if you were. smiley - smiley I am a very serious nature lover, but have this Alice-in-wonderland fantasy to become a small creature in order to experience living with the animalssmiley - blackcat!!! I know it sounds smiley - sillydotty. I think it is escapism!! But, hey, I am really quite sane. Just in love too much with creatures. smiley - bunnysmiley - mousesmiley - antsmiley - spider

It just seemed uncanny that you mentioned all of the animals from his books. I meant no disrespect. I will agree you animals often seem much nicer than humans.

A poetry group?

Are you sure that you're sane?

I can only seem to get into either the epic poems of the Greek's and Roman's (Iliad, Odyssey, and the Aeneid) and the iambic pentameter of Shakespeare). I enjoy EE cummings, but only because of the unusual style
