hi kea
I suppose I should keep a list. Although because I missed all the hooha I kind of enjoy finding creative ways to say what I had in mind.

Go girl! Loving your stuff on the Catholic Church thread in reply to Della. Totally rational, very clear, also very pointed when necessary.
I cannot post there because it would turn into Della saying to me - 'oh, just agreeing with SoRB as one of his minions, blah blah blah, you just want to start a DW, you're obviously this-or-that emotionally unstable.' And frankly, been there done that, more often than I care to remember.
I googled too - nowhere did I find anything saying that Whoopi boasted about having 13 abortions. Just some places stating - whether true or not - that she'd had maybe 6 or 8. And of course the famous coat-hanger one she performed on herself.
I did post once on that thread last week - just couldn't keep quiet about the ridiculous concept that abortion is actually being taught at schools as a form of contraception - and a couple of people found my guide entry A3986977 as a result. And it's been quite amazing, kea. Turned into quite a healing thing for me.
Anyhow, just wanted to say - keep up the good work!

Hey, nice to see you
Yeah, I think we just reached the 'you're all in league with the devil/hoo" bit I'm not sure I can be bothered much more. Anything else she says is basically a windup as far as I can tell.
I'll go have a read of your entry

oops . . .
And before you say it - no way no day is this another stupid Della War. Good grief, the woman is a total emotional minefield anyhow. And the simulposts with SoRB were just serendipity.
But sometimes you just can't shut up . . . well, I know I can't.

hi kea
Maybe not an outright battle but definitely a skirmish (I suppose when there are multiple posts that are wholely devoid of the actual thread topic but are instead all about Della, it becomes part of the ongoing war).
Your entry is very good. Brave I think, and very generous to share that with people openly. It's stories like that that really dispel the ignorant and propaganda-like information put out by the anti-abortion lot, as your story is so real and full of complexities, not black and white or good and bad.
I think it's fantastic you've put it on h2g2, and am glad that there are people finding it helpful and I would guess thought provoking
thanks az

Thanks kea.
Nothing brave about it though. At least, it didn't feel 'brave' for me. I first told that story on the Partial Birth Abortion thread a few years ago and told various bits of it here and there on other threads about abortion. Just decided that I was tired of writing it over and over because it kind of takes a lot out of me to do so, hence the guide entry. Now I can just plunk the entry number on a thread if it seems necessary.
The idea that it might help others is a very nice one - lots of lurkers around here, after all. So you never know . . .
As for the skirmish - ah, flick it. I wouldn't have posted what I did if I'd seen all the stuff SoRB posted while I was writing(unfortunate simulpost) as I *do* try to avoid multiple posts about Della for the very reason you mentioned.

So how are you keeping? How is RL treating you?
We had the best visit with zoomer last week - you can read about part of it here if you like.

Honestly, I was in tears when we saw him off. And both Nog and I spent a couple of days feeling a bit bereft - somehow that guy got right 'into our hearts', you know?
And now it's back to RL after a bit of a holiday.

I was just thinking of posting to you
I wanted to say that I thought your posts in Hoo's whore thread were right on. Very skillful posting both support and care for Hoo, and then Alex, and then being able to post your own views on the situation.
That's great you got cl to visit. It always seems amazing to me that you get so many visitors from other countries - I think it's a new zealand thing to be surprised, as we are so far from anywhere that such visits are not so possible.

azahar Posted Jul 13, 2006
Thanks. I also was in touch with both Hoo and Alex by email. Alex thanked me for caring, Hoo told me to flick off and mind my own business. Ah well, can't please everyone . . .
Meanwhile, zoomer had combined the Seville trip with going to the London meet, so that made it more worth his while to come ALL THIS WAY. And most people that came to the mini meeet in March came from places in Europe, which really isn't far to go - about a 2-3 hour plane ride.
I suppose you could always organise a New Zealand mini meet with you, six7s and Della. And who knows, Ivan might even turn up. Also, Peckish is in Australia - lovely intelligent man.
Back to the subject of caring . . . I got a message on my PS from Elenitsa yesterday which made me feel very special indeed. It's curious how some people see me as the 'big bad big-mouthed az' and others see me as someone to turn to when they need a hug or a shoulder. Anyhow, when stuff like that happens (Elenitsa's post) I am reminded that the concept of 'az' is largely in the eye of the beholder.
So how are things going with you?

I don't really understand why Hoo felt he had to leave h2g2. I mean he didn't meet Alex here and he was here years before she was, and it's a big place etc. He did seem a man hurt beyond reason though.
I never understand people seeing you as a big baddie either. Apart from Della of course and that's mostly for show I'm sure (on her part).
Do you know why Ben is offsite? And Trin said Alfster and Blues have left as well.
hi kea
azahar Posted Jul 13, 2006
I think Ben still posts regularly on Lil's Atelier.
Yeah, Alfster and Blues have left. Awhile ago I mentioned leaving - I think around the time I started my blog. Then I got a lovely post from Clive on my PS telling me I would be sorely missed.
Thing is, I've already kind of left in a sense. Spending much less time here than before and mostly just chatting with friends here now - not bothering too much with 'serious' debate threads.
Anyhow, as I told Clive, if/when I leave I wouldn't make a huge announcement about it, clear out my PS and flounce off in a huff. More likely I'd just start posting here less and less until I was no longer here - kind of just fade away. But I'm still not quite ready to give this place up as so many people I really like and enjoy are here.
Um, are you igoring my 'how are you's?' on purpose?

Pretty much I'm quite tired right now, and didn't feel inspired to say anything in particular about life.
Ben must be using a third account because the two I have both have no recent postings. I can't figure out how she does that - there are virtually no threads in her convo lists but she can't have unsubbed from them all.
Do you know why Blues and Alfster left?
hi kea
azahar Posted Jul 13, 2006
Ben must unsub every time she posts on the Atelier. I know she's definitely there, almost every day, because I sometimes lurk there. Why someone would constantly unsub from a thread they are posting on is anybody's guess.
I think Alfster and Blues just felt tired of the place. Alfster told me that his decision to leave had nothing to do with Hoo leaving - that was mere coincidence. And of course I believe him.
Well okay, if you're tired then I won't push you to talk about your life right now. But I am curious and concerned, just so you know for when you feel up to talking.

Just had a look and Ben's using a third account, a high U number one.

azahar Posted Jul 15, 2006
Ah, well I've never checked back to where she is posting from on the Atelier. It's a place I prefer to just lurk on now and then as I'm not much of a 'group person' and anyhow, there are so many people there I don't know at all - though a few have popped over to comment on my blog, and I have also visited theirs.

Chr*st I can't believe how quiet it is. Except that there are quite alot of people online that I recognise I wonder where they all are posting.
Are you going to post on Hoo's thread again?
