ive found two pics of bradford, the town hall and howarth( not color) is the a color one of howarth or any of bradford you know of, thanks jim

i came on a page with a few pics of bradford, as part of a guide,

the one i have is of the bradford town hall, the other is howarth main st. the code was h2g2img=hyp01 and 42.

i was hoping you had come across some other landmarks of bradford,
ie the library, photography museum,alambra and so on.

Ah, I suspected that might have been what was happening. That first one (hyp01) isn't of Bradford at all. It's Big Ben with the London Eye ferris wheel behind it and is being used as a general header for all the pages (much as a BBC picture banner for an area of its site might not directly relate to the contents of a particular page).

The other one, hyp42, is of Haworth not Howarth.

i was sort of hoping there was some upto date pics of bradford, but aparently only the black and white of the main street thanks anyway jim

They are links to the pics. It is *possible* to get them to show on a page (by a number of methods) but not using the normal GuideML PICTURE tag with B-number or image name. I didn't search Google further to see if there were any normal h2g2 image types in there.

i think i have a img=href thing to use, i had the same when i had the angels, i still have one now.

i wont be at the library now till thursday, then i can check the google one there, im still on the old box, my own pc went ages ago.

i think i,ll need to get the full one for the loyds one, it faces the town hall here. with the ... it wont work with the old box jim

It's Bradford in 1963 as part of Doctor Who pages. There are 3 "webcam" pictures.

Unfortunately, quite a few of the modern colour pictures have been taken at silly angles, eg:

i can scan a pic at the library, and make it a jpeg, could i transfer it to the space, when its a jpeg, i transfer to an email, then i can transfer if i want to the pictures section.

No that wouldn't work. At least not unless a member of staff had uploaded an image called townhall.jpg - and then it probably wouldn't look anything like yours anyway.

from home, but i do two days at the library on a pc,4 days a week, we can only have 8 hours from mon to sat.i leave wed and sat out, unless the pcs are kaput one day,as they are more often now.

its free as a member, so we cant complain as such,we just went from tw to viginmedia in the last few months, but they didnt screw the emails as of yet lol jim
