Here's one using the brunel eyes (white background). It takes up a whole line (rather fat) on your personal space (or even in thread info etc) without getting in the way of any buttons. The other ways of positioning things tend to be a nuisance. NB digibox users don't get to see marquees move. I suppose you could attach the VIEWER tag or other text to this too though...
Custom eyes require a little bit more code but work on all skins if I make them with transparent corners. Note that you can change the "brunel" bit to "Alabaster" (cyan background) or "Classic" (goo blue background) if you prefer.

You can experiment with changing the relative speed of the bounce - longer with each bound or higher short hops. I'm surprised you didn't try to attach your link to WEE inside the marquees so that people would have to chase it. I don't know whether it would work but it might be a bit too silly if it did.

I'm trying to work out how! I thought of that too. A WEE link surrounded by eyes...

Is this enough civil disobedience to be getting on with then?
Let me know if you need any help with the code. Do you like my Cheshire Babel-fish by the way - it's all invisible apart from the boggly orange eye bobbing up and down at the top of my space. I think I need to tidy up after experimenting on your behalf though. I don't really need that many things bobbing up and down using different techniques!

Hey Saturnine. 2 weeks of no posting. Have you suddenly discovered real life or what?!
Did you notice the release of: http://www.bbc.co.uk/communicate/bbciconnector/?target=/radio1 ?

BBCi Connector is the BBC's new live chat program. You may still need to create a new login to use it as it wasn't picking up on the existing BBC database of users. Once logged in you can customise your avatar to some degree and look at other people's choices. The people-finder is connected to the page you are viewing so you see who else is on that page (currently limited to Radio1 pages). You can then make faces at them (emoticons) or start a chat.
The initial login page is blue so I thought it was like a swimming pool with all the avatars bobbing around. You can't pull yourself out of the pool though and there are no towels. Changing pages is a bit like diving or transporting oneself to a new pool.

Interesting. I should take a look at it later...
