Em is fine.
Hope you sleep well. I'm thinking I will. Bouts of insomnia sometimes creep up on me. I'm staying home tomorrow (vacation!) so I can sleep & get some things done 'round the house.
Hasta pasta

That's awful.
That's wretched that you had to stay later. Hate when that happens.
Currently, I'm tired as everything. Went clubbing Friday after the play. Saturday went to a cast wrap party & sang karaoke. Tonight went to an Oscar watch party. I was going to leave at 10pm. That was several hours ago. Went to karaoke afterwards. Sounded like a good idea after several s. Must remember not to do that anymore. I'm getting too old for it. 30 is around the corner. Hopefully work won't require any serious thought.

hi em,
glad you had a good weekend.
know what you mean you just have to temper your alcohol intake (as if any of us does..hehe),oh & we all say were to old to do that anymore but we still keep going back....hhmmmm
anyway 30's not old, lookk at me i'm 36 in july...(not much of a role model but hey...)
your as old as you feel & if they happen to be younger than you all the better.
so you like the old karaoke then...,i like watching people make lemons of then selves but i've got a voice like gravel on a rusty sheet of metal & it ain't fair to make others suffer for mu inability to sing.
i hope you have'nt got a hangover,if you have may i recomend a hair of the dog...or alternately lots of water a fried breakfast & alcaseltzer...(oops spelling gone wild)
looke forward to your reply ......

Not really a hangover (thank goodness) but I'm really tired. Didn't want to get out of bed this morning at all & thought about calling in sick. Decided that wouldn't be a good idea since I'd already taken a vacation day on Friday. I'm feeling a little older than usual today .

Well, Friday it was Jack Daniels & Coke, Saturday was vodka & Sprite, Sunday was vanilla vodka & Coke then Jack & Coke. I'm turning into a lush.
I had a breakfast sandwich at the local fast food. Also had a caffeinated beverage so that's helped some. I'm more worried about this afternoon. I'm always groggy then.

wazzow Posted Mar 24, 2003
well mate...wot can i say.
you'd better leave the coke alone then hehe
if you were here i could've had breakfast done for you (with tablets)
& a little walk along the prom.
i'm not being forward you understand but walking along this seafront is enough to wake polar bears up its that bl@#dy cold.
can't say i've tried jd that much i'm more a malt person given the choice although in preferance to anything i'd drink guinness or bitter, but i'd kill for a pbr or bud or micholob.
here in good old east anglia there is as you proberly know.(.curtesy of the news )we have quite a few bases..well to be really boring the pub i grew up in was frequented by guys from the bases & as a result i ended up having more big brothers than i care to mention.
it might be a long shot but do you have in place anything that can trace people..like friends etc,coz i'm trying to reach a mate of mine in pittsburgh who i've not spoken to in twelve yrs..?
anyway as for food sneak out & have some toast..that'll dry the booze out..

We've got personal days (sick leave) and vacation days. In theory we're supposed to have approval a couple weeks ahead of time for vacation, but the managers here are pretty forgiving.
Cold air doesn't sound the thing this morning. The office is freezing today & I forgot to bring in my jacket (windcheater?).
You could try switchboard.com.
Thanks for the toast idea. I'll have to try that next time. It's nearly lunch now.

thanks em i'll give it a go.
lunch i wish..i forgot to bring something in today so i'm starving now.
mind you i could look on the bright side & say its 1640hrs now & i'll be home by say about 2030hrs tonight by which time i should be ready to eat a rabid horse .
have you got to be at the theatre this week then,i must admit it sounds like fun i had a friend that used to help run productions,he said it was worthwhile but a helluve lot of work.
keep smiling..

I always forget to bring my lunch. I usually end up finding something in the on-site cafeteria or I go into town & pick up something there. I would advise finding something other than a rabid horse, but that's just a suggestion.
No theatre this week. The last performance was Saturday. There's a post production meeting next week. We'll talk with the board members about everything that worked & everything that didn't so that future productions will keep improving. You're friend is right. Lots of work but still worthwhile.

almost forgot to ask ..is it ok to add you to my friends list..silly me..hey.
incase i forget i've just re-written a load of old drivel on my home page..(yawn yawn) but it does include one of my email address's.
if you ever fancy a chat out side of h2g2 send me an email & i'll give you my other two,one being my works as i spend seemingly all my life here & the other is home.
as you obviously like theatre work are you considering a change of job or are you quite happy to keep it as a hobby only..

Sure, feel free.
I'll have to check out your updated page. I haven't made changes to mine in a while. Really need to do that.
I love theatre work, but to do that full time I'd have to move to a much larger city. For a town this size, there are a lot of shows, but not enough of them pay in order to make a living. And what they do pay won't cover rent, etc.

Well, I'm still . Woke up an hour late this morning. I should have stayed home today. It started raining as soon as I opened the door to go outside. I think it was an omen. Now I'm at work and I have conflicting information from two people on what should be a simple issue. *sigh* Only nine more hours to go...

It's just a last straw sort of thing. I'm being held responsible for something that I have no control over and that I don't have the authority to fix.
It's 9 hours with a 1 hour break for lunch. I usually eat at my desk & post on H2G2.
I like the rain except when I don't have an umbrella in the house (it was in the car). Wish I could hear it here. All I here are the lights, people typing & my CPU fan. Maybe I'll put in a cd & drag out the headphones.
for the .

sorry ...took a little while to get of the phone..bl@~dy thing..!
hey i know exactly how you feel..we work in what is called a "no blame culture" let me know if this sounds similar.
the no blame culture is where an incident happens & instead of the immediate problem being sorted out first hand they look for whose faiult it is so they can persecute you.
having been on the recieving end of this before i now have an excellant memory..(sorry whats your name..lol only kidding),for events times & general problems & who said what to whom.
i think its the only way to go...oh & email marvelous invention.just a tip i always email everyone concerned when dealing with potential problems.
its great because when someone says they no nothing you can always pull up that little folder & show then that they deleted it without looking at it which is why i have just such a folder.
anyway cheer up if your bosses are like mine they don't know exactly what you do anyway so you can blind them with science...
here have a cheer up mate it'll get better as the day goes on.

Sorry took so long. The connection died then I had to go eat lunch with a 10-year-old and no one told me that they've changed lunch times. I'm just glad I'm this much closer to the day being over.
I have an email file too. I keep everything. It's so much easier for when you need to prove a point.
Thanks for the . I'm sure tomorrow will be better.
