You can't be anti-smiley!! Not on here!!! That's insulting!!!
How do I define Satanism? Why does everyone want to know that? There is a guide entry around here on it...although it's only the original roots to it...go find it!

*has just remembered who sent the email*
Oops. Sorry.
Ummm...in crude terms, yep. But I wouldn't describe that. The thing about Satanism is...think of it like a lump of clay. Every Satanist gets this lump of clay. It's made of the same materials, and looks/smells/tastes the same, but it's up to the individual what they do with it and what they believe it to be. Whereas with Christians, they get given the lump of clay already made, with a rule book on how to put the thing in the kilm, and pictures of what it will look like - and there is only one thing ever made.
Does that make sense? I only ever explain it once in a while to people, so count yourself lucky!

hehe. thanks. of course, from the "christian" perspective, it will be the best thing... (though, i think that for every christian it's different, despite the same set of "rules")
if you want me to, though, i could send you an email... i'm all about emails...
peace.

Oh, most people I meet on here turn out to be Christian. Don't worry, I'm not uncomfortable...
You can send me an email if you want! I mean, my address is on my page for that reason! Doesn't bother me really...

Lack~Luster Posted Dec 12, 2002

hehe.

No no. There are lots and lots of Christians. Unless you are a fundamentalist, like Justin The Preacher - which you blatently aren't because I haven't had one Bible quote out of you yet...everyone is pretty much accepting. This community is pretty varied - although I'm the only Satanist. But that's how I like it.

Lack~Luster Posted Dec 12, 2002
well, if it's a Bible quote you want...
John 3:16: For God so love the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever belives in Him shall not parish, but have everlasting life.
hehe.

so my question is (i'm good at questions, so if you don't like answering them, don't) if Satanism (at least the way you view it) has nothing to do with Satan, why not call it something else? I mean, Satanism has such a bad connotation behind it.
For instance, Scientology is fairly simular... and it's very elite... that would be much nicer...
peace.

It has everything to do with Satan! In short form, Satan is a demonised form of a few old characters - Pan being the main one. There are a million stories, that through the ages provided the backlog to what is now considered Satan. None of which are *evil*...just pagan, or rebellion ahainst God/the god(s)...there are links to the Prometheus myth as well. It basically comes down to true rebellion; turning your back on everything you have been told is right, and choosing for yourself. Not to be harsh, but as a Christian, you are dictated to and you accept it as truth - no matter which truth you accept.
Now, Satanists may/may not believe in God, but we all believe in the magic of chosen reality. That is, stories can be reality if you want it to be. Just because it isn't real, it doesn't mean to say it isn't there. The term Satanism, comes from the fact that Satan, to a Satanist, is the chosen parton. Not saint, or God, or deity, but a nice little symbol to put on our t-shirts. Humans respond to that kind of thing.
Also, people are immediately interested when the word comes up. It provokes. Provoked you. Provoked me into finding out what it was...

I genuinely do *like everything*. But I can't *afford everything* so I keep my spending down to alternative/rock/industrial/metal stuff. But I like classical/atmospheric stuff, individuals like Bjork (who is as close to perfection as any musicain can get methinks), a little of folky-rock, jazz/bluesy style. But metal/rock/industrial is my core All the rest (with the exception of Bjork) is passed over with a glance and nothing more.
How about you?
And do you really have a beard?
