You made me print it, comes to 6 Pages when is finished.
When I get good stories ( like this) I print them and at night have a good entertainement before going to sleep. (Read in bed hot from the press)
During the day just too busy with silly stuff. Good comes always at the END.
Phred: you will understand what a day of 3 H : HAZY,HOT AND HUMID!
Hope the END will be a happy one:Cold front comes through and cool air sets in!
I am mostly in Collective in these days, where we are working on a collective piece of "grand" literature: "Badass" is the abbreviation of the story to fight DEMONS!
Just a click of your Mouse takes you there; below h2g2 on front page find Collective. Every week is a new issue with very good stuff!
Look forward to read your story ( rather Hiro Ononda's story) tonight!
It was worth to look in to my Old Page! Have to make an UPDATE!
Gone with the wind to Collective. Blue bird=flying high!

Yes...It's about ninety-five today in Tampa. I was outside changing the oil in my generator and my engine and the heat index is 107 beacause of the humidity...the sweat was in my eyes...getting ready for the big road trip to see the five grandchildren, Yellowstone, Glacier and other old friends.
I always like to say, it's not the heat, it's the stupidity.
"hot from the press"..you have a way with words, Bluebird.
I'll try to find the Collective later.

Three Days past that finally I could get here fighting great difficulties.
For some reason at night, when i do most of my PC work the HOME Page just would not open up!
Tonight I tryed various ways around BBC and Finally i got here to leave you my message since SUNDAY! It is mighty frostrating not to be able to open a forum under the heading: TALK.
I enjoyed reading the fascinating story you wrote! It is unbelievable what some humans are able to do because of their convictions or brain washed state of mind!
The work you did shows a very disciplined mind doing an extensive research up to the last little details with great accuracy!
I hope it will be published among the highly respected Edited Guide Entries, because if this would not qualify, than I don't know what would?
You might noticed I never got involved in this field, because I just want to say what I say in AWW. I was always like this ;like freedom without any restriction till it is legal and does not hurt anybody!
In any case: Congratulation! I could not do it!
I started to update My Space as of August 05, it's still under construction.
Collective has a totally different spirit as it is lingering around you: it is sweet, inspiring, mesmerizing with all the goodies you can find there.
I got involved in an experiment: the title is: "Badass" which is about fighting Demons in a surrealistic style with illustrations.
A collaborative work in 10 Episodes.
Have other stuff to talk about, but now you go again on the road.
Where about? When are you coming back?
Anyway: have a good trip, enjoy and disregard the gasoline prices.
Because of that I am working on to find a winter stay away from this place of brutal winters!
Greetings: Blue bird

It seems during the day have no difficulty to get to h2. Only thing is difficult to get time during the day hours.
What would happen if we would not have problems?
Anyway: the weather is beautiful here: NO haze, NO heat, NO humidity
and the weather has NO stupidy at this time,-- till a little later.
When the no-nos will go into 3 H again.
Sorry for South Florida! Get it again?
I think Tampa is out of consideration from Katrin! Lucky you Greenwinter formerely: Phred and what else is there to talk about?
Are you still at home or on the road? Lap-top you can take it with you, but can you plug in the internet?
For the future: it should be in hotel, motel rooms the internet connection installed like a radio, telephone, mini bar etc.

Hi Bluebird,
I have a laptop with a modem that receives internet signals out of the air so that I can talk to you from a picnic bench on a California mountaintop.
We are holding our breath about Katrina. Who knows where the little devil will decide to go next?
My last week of work is in Puerto Rico and then my first two days of retirement will be spent diving on a beautiful "wall" in La Paguera. They have the rare black corals and clouds of colourful fish as well as friendly big green eels and sometimes a mermaid or two. The water will be nice and warm on the first day of October.

Ah, that is really exciting! Lap-top I have, but the modem is here connected to a cable. This is a very nasty company who runs the service, but here in Long Island this is the best, because is fast, but expensive.
There are other possibilities to get on Internet, but I also have an advisor, who is very strickt and keeps me with this nasty co.--
Yeah, I am thinking to find a place for the winter, but it is the question: how can I keep my internet connections?
I was in the past wintering in San Diego and Hawaii for months.
With the oil prices and the brutal winter here I would be better off some other part of the country further south to be a "snow-bird" again.
Katrina making one hell of a mess again, perhaps I could find a place where people need some money to rebuilt what ever is gone with the winds!
I don't know what are you doing, because I though You are retired already.
But you say you are "working"? Anyway to retire is the best of all times in a person's s life. Though I am more busy now than when I was working.
Though I do really what I want to do,---well with certain limitations--- but nobody is telling me what to do, and I don't have to answer anybody if I don't want to.
So now: You are diving into beautiful worlds, I have never done it!
I was just into flying the friendly skies with a most wonderful pilot, a great human. He is gone, but I still like to be above the ground.
Many things are gone with time, but what other things came up are even more exciting. I work through the internet--- also lot of E-mail connections-- but Alas! have to meet some deadlines on this experimental lit. stuff I got involved recently and so is
" retirement" being busy as a
I like your newest screen-name, but I'll stick to the birds, because they are the closest to me. ( Had other names too) Perhaps will change to "turkey vulture" they are beautiful and endangered.
Hope to hear from you, those corals are very sharp and cut you and than those animals could come which like the human's blood!
Hope you'll be safe and enjoy your retirement when ever you come to it! Write. Blue bird.

I worked with a PhD at Florida State University who studied turkey vultures for the Army. She would pay Florida "good old boys" to capture them, then she would feed them big doses of botulism until they got "limberneck" and died. It was a vey sad project to study why they could eat rotten dead food.
But, on the bright side, Bald Eagles mate for life...I'm sorry about your friend...he seemed like very impressive humam being...but you're right...any day you wake up is a good day and any landing you walk away from is a good landing.

All I can say to you Phred: we flu for 15 years the single engine Debonair. We covered lot of territories during this time from New Foundland to Key West and to the West til Lousiana. We never flu over the Rockies.
But I can say: the only one emergency landing was because of a mechanical mistakes from Beechcraft Factory where the plane was made. Not much demage was done to the plane, and I was not with him in that case.
After this Beechraft installed an acrobatic tank, and the plane was safe for so many years when we flu.
Weather flying needs a special skill and very realistic judgement.
He thought me never to fight with Nature, it is bigger than us. If there was a chance to get out of a nasty storm, yes we did turn around.
But sometimes was not possible and went thru what was coming and us going into.
I'll continue next time.
About vultures :
Some are taken care in special zoos, it was some time ago I supported 2 turkey vultures, because they could not live in the wild.
Now I have only the birds here what I can attract to my various feeders. We have fun and lot of fighting what they love to do!
Have a nice day: Blue bird
