We could do with another Lawrence of Arabia. And pretty soon. The Middle East region seems to be going even more nuts than normal from what's on the news these days. It seems nearly everybody out there has a screw loose.
I never used to be one of the end-of-the-world-is-nigh brigade but I'm beginning to appreciate their way of thinking. Maybe that big asteroid that's due to 'near miss' the globus in 20 years or so is actually on course after all. I remember the original calculations predicted a direct hit. Then they were quickly and mysteriously changed.
To be honest I wouldn't blame the supreme being for throwing his hands up in despair and chucking a giant asteroid our way. Even a deity can only have so much patience.

Cheer up, Lucky my friend! They only went nuts when we and America went interfering, from arming the Mohajadeen and Osama Bin Laden onwards...
