I saw your post Daffodils by Wordsworth.Many moons ago when i was at school we all had to do a project in the easter hols.As i like painting i did a painting of the lakes and daffodils,then over the top,in my best caligraphy i wrote that poem,it took me ages.It was pretty good.I showed it to my parents,i was as pleased as punch with myself,then came the bombshell,''What is a clod?''Asked my all critical father,i had left out the U.That wretched poem is known as the 'clod'poem in our family.The picture still survives,it hangs in the toilet!smiley - laugh

Just to remind you again sue, here's the 1807 version:

I wander'd lonely as a Cloud
That floats on high o'er Vales and Hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of dancing Daffodils;
Along the Lake, beneath the Trees,
Ten thousand dancing in the breeze.

That reminds me of the time when I found out, in my late teens, that a particular hymn is not about the Lord of the Dance-settee.

Thanks for that. smiley - smiley Looks interesting, though it'll probably be a week or so before I have a chance to read it.

By the way, your groan jokes thread provided me with a stack of material for this week's creative writing lesson on comic prose. smiley - smiley
