a complete new culture next door
Posted Nov 28, 2002
I moved a couple of months ago and i have to say: the change was really massive!
Life in England is just totaly differnt, but very similar in the very same moment.
The small things one is used to change in a second and this is something you have to get used to in first place, but it is quite enjoyable after that.
I think it is stuff which people who are born here don't even realise.
e.g. that the cars are driving on the other site (i ve been nearly killed for a few times), the bread is different(why didn't anyone tell me that???) and i can generally say that the peole are far more polite than they are in my homecountry(did you ever realize that >sorry< is written on the busses when they are not in service???).
The society here seems to be very open-minded and multicultural, and i absolutely love this!
so now i can say that i am very happy that i 've moved in the country next door that has already provided me with a lot of new impressions!
