I love college so far, I've already got all the techies and comp. nerd wrapped tightly around my little finger Lots of fun, I got one to hook up my comp. and another to take me to the mars party next week. this is going to be a good year, I can tell.

I have a foolproof method for making friends.
but yeah, college is good so far, i'm sure I'll say something out come the recitals and finals

*disclaimer these tips only work when you're in a new situation*
1. If you have a preference on the kind of people you hang out with (ie cheerleaders, techies, etc.) find someone of that category to do this with, sometimes stereotypes don't hold true, expect that.
2. If you're a chic and they're male, try to catch their eye and when you do look straight into it. for some reason dudes are actually attracted to confident/people with the ability to contol people. after you've made eye contact go up to them, shake hands and say hi. ask something obvious (ie what's your major) if they answer that with no problem talk about other things, if they get that shy or distracted look within the first fake question, don't even try it find someone else.
3 If you're a chic and so are they, Go straight up to them, shake their hand ask their name and tell them yours in a clear loud voice while looking, not nessecarily in there eyes but at least their face, again chics are also attracted to confident people. If when you start to talk to them they seem to act fake, leave and talk to someone else.

4. if you're a dude, i've no clue for any of it on account of i'm not a dude.

man I'm screwed...I think I'll go for my typical being scared in a corner until I just randomly say hello to someone

Sometimes you just wait for people to say hi to you (for example, this happened last night) when you're queueing up for something, like I did yesterday queueing for the tarot card reading.
