ok me and my towel have a question lol . how exactly do the powers that be like the guide entries to be? i mean are we talking names, dates, and facts or just whatever you happen to know about some subject? i mean i am considering writing an entry about a roman emperor and while i know alot about him and his reign and all that, i am unsure about exact dates and such. in other words (sorry if i am rambling but i am kinda tired at the moment), is this like writing a research paper or can i just kinda write from memory? i have been kinda "lurking" in the peer review page and i am still a mite confused on procedure. anywhoo, thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Right! Trying to figure those out myself quite a bit. Down on your space next to where it says add a guide entry there should be a link talking about 'How to Write a Guide' entry etc. It should also have something about 'Edited Entries' there. That should give you major guidelines. Well it depends on how good your memory is You might want to check out some more of the edited guide entries to see what gets in. Also, if you're still a bit fuzzy on somethings, write your entry as well as you can and submit it to peer review. They should help you out on it as they know what the editors want etc.

ok i will be your friend then . the emperor claudius actually. it's about the only thing i really know alot about. i was a history major in college with a concentration in the period of rome between agustus and nero until my money ran out and i had to leave. what can i say, i'm a nerd lol. and yes that did help thank you very very much. i feel a bit lost on here right now, but i guess that is to be expected. thanks again.

Well, I'm glad it helped. I haven't produced an edited entry yet meself .
Well on my space I have quite a few links. It also depends on what your focus for H2G2 is to be. If you want to be mostly community, or mostly guide, or a lurker, or a mixture of both. Please tell me some of your interests that you'd be happy to know others with and I'll try to direct you to them. There's countless amounts of fun here.

you are so helpful!! i have a lot of diverse interests man, too many to list. i am too tired to know where to begin. looooong day at work today. but hey, i will go cruisin around just as soon as i get my sea legs as it were. as for the entry, i am workin on it. i think once i am pretty well finished with it i will take your advice and post it in the writers workshop or something before i go all proper or whatever. and i have no idea what i am talking about because i am soooo tired. lol don't mind me, just half asleep and thanking god for the backspace button
