No, of course "internet friends aren't real", but yours are going to get sick of looking after you fairly soon too; especially if you are as cruel to them as you are to me.

I shouldn't really have done that, but I was feeling distinctly a very, very unhappy & suffering a definite shortage of "real life" humans; so I'm afraid I vented my spleen on here.

I suspect there must be something in the air - I've been feeling uncharacteristically down over the last two days (feeling inadequate about my parenting skills) - these things come in cycles I think. They don't last forever! And it is good to share with h2g2 friends, isn't it.

Yes, I do wonder if there is a cyclical bit to a lot of things. Let's hope "what goes around, comes around"; karma & all that.

It certainly IS good to talk to "you lot" as I refer affectionately to my Hootoo friends.

I've just the one, and he's seven and three quarters - eight in September. Also I'd read one of those very touching true-life stories with a happy ending that touched into some stuff for me.
