Terri- for some reason, I assumed you lived in Britain. A close friend of mine has a house in SW France. She's away at the moment in Western Canada but I'll ask her the name of the village when she gets back. My oldest brother (1 of four) went to University in Nante (spelling?) I've been to the Paris Airport on the way home from the former USSR but only sat in the waiting room. I'm tortally second language inept so although French is an official language in Canada, I can't speak a word although I do understand listening to the basic stuff. Have a toast of good French wine and think of me. (French wine is something i DO understand)!

Merci, kasese!
Ashamed as I am to admit it, my French is apalling! Even though I've lived here nearly 5 years now, & I live with a Frenchman!
My only excuse is that we talk exclusively in English at home, he is a translator & his English is better than mine in many ways!
Do let me know when your friend comes back, you never know, we may live just around the corner! We're in Angoulême, the capital of the Charente region (they make very good wine round here, unfortunately I'm not supposed to drink any of it!) c'est la vie!
Terri
