Just stopped by to say hello. I've seen your name appearing in all my favorite h2g2 haunts, so I thought it was time to make your aqaintance properly.

Yes, I keep seeing your name in the same places too, & you're on my "must contact this one, they seem nice" list!
I notice you're one of mrs & superdog's friends, also Nyssa's.
We're in quite close touch (e-mailetc) also with Abbi, & from De Myelin Nation.

Real Life is taking over from hootoo a bit at present with Xmas looming, so I might not be chatting quite so much over the next week or two, but please keep in touch.

It's a bit curious we seem to have the same friends but haven't really spoken before. I've been chatting to MrstheWife for what seems like forever. We send each other a daily update of what out kids have been upto, and as we are both really enjoying being parents, they turn into quite long posts.

I've been friends with Nyssa since she joined h2g2, also emailing each other outside of h2g2, she really is a star isn't she. I've got so much admiration for all she's achieved in such horrendous circumstances. She also seems to have adopted my little moniker for her on h2g2 (manky old dirtbag) lol.

I haven't spoken to Abbi before, but I think we also both talk to Dragon Lady Karen, who's another inspiring lady!

Do you and Yoda have any kiddies yet? or any plans for them>?

Yes, Nyssa's a very special person isn't she! Yoda is in fact a so the possibility of us having offspring together remains remote but interesting! (kidlets? kins? caddies?....)

I personally don't have any little humans, but I've got a big one, Chan-Mick le FrogU208634 who has a step-daughter of 21 so I get to share her, which is lovely (& a bit less demanding on a day-to-day basis than your little ones!) However, as an ex teacher, I've had plenty of experience of them; must confess I was often relieved to hand them back to Mum or Dad! Good to hear you're enjoying the fatherhood bit. What age, sex etc. are they?

Oh yes, back to Nyssa, she & Chan-Mick are probably closer than myself & her, having both unfortunately gone through widowhood at a young age. They're in regular contact via e-mail etc.

Just sent Xmas cards ce soir to Nyssa & Abbi, still waiting for mrs to send me (via e-mail) her snail-mail address so I can get hers off; if you bump into her before me, give her a little nag will you! (gently though, from what I can gather the whole family's plague-ridden at the moment!)

If you want to say "bonjour" to Chan-Mick, I'm sure he'd be delighted: he only remarked the other day "that Simon the silly Sausage seems like a sensible bloke, gives good advice."

Which part? I'm not at all familiar with London myself (in fact the very idea of it frightens me!) but <./>Chan-Mick le Frog</.> lived there for 5 years & is still nostalgic about it! (he's even trying to get superdogmonkey to investigate old mates he knew!)

I knew you had a significant other, and just assumed from your user name you shared the same login. How silly is that

Chan-Mick is a great guy, and has been on my list of peeps to annoy for some time. I believe I wished him a happy birthday in cockney just the other day

Sorry to hear Chan-Mick suffered a loss at a young age, must have been hard bringing up his daughter alone. He is lucky to have a nice caring lady like yourself in his life now.

Wow spooky coincidence, I just posted a xmas card to Nyssa myself this morning. I'll be sure to bug Mrsthewife, but as you say, I think the germs have got her!

I wont bore you with the details of my kids if you have read my space, I have a tendancy to gush about them and once I start I don't shut up.

I'll be sure to pop by and say Hi to Chan-Mick, see what part of London he comes from. Although he sounds like he needs his head examined if he thinks I give good advice. But I have made some remarkable freinds on this wonderful site, and I do my best to help where I can. Very complimentary to hear him say that about me.

I am gobsmacked at your courage and determination, and so pleased that you have, like myself, finally met your true
Having someone who loves you no matter what really does make everything seem alright.
I hope Karen can find herself someone to love too.
