I am Researcher Eo (E O say it like you spell it) Don't eat fish... oh wait you don't soooooo... erm... sigh... well i might as well tell you why I am agains fish eating... (not really I'm just slightly insane, no harm will come to anyone including the fish 
I was formally known as the evil doctor fish... untill they took away my degree and made me just doctor fish... being good's no fun so I just took up the name Eo...

Are you new to h2g2? I don't seem to remember seeing you around before ( but I'm fairly new myself)
If so, & there's anything you need to know, just ask me & I'll try to help, that's what Aces are for!
The most important thing is to write a little bit in your Personal Space (you can always change it later); then people can contact you more easily.

Just been to look at your page -- nice one!! Glad you took my advice, it'll be loads easier for people to contact you now.
I see Mr Manda is looking after you, that's great, I'm sure he can answer any questions you have, but do keep in touch.
Yoda keeps trying to climb on to the keyboard, maybe it's your name or something, but she seems very keen on me going to my journal space?? Or could it be yours?? 
Don't worry about being 
the only time you have to spell it righrt is if you want to make it into a smiley!

Spelling I dispise it... I can't even spell dispise!!! O well whatever, lol Poppy likes walking on keyboards dishfowiehfoioiwfeowj... 
too, and paper, I try to write something and there's a cat sleeping on the paper!

I'm but in a different way; I can spell brilliantly but am totally dyslexic with numbers! It drives me mad when I have to put in all these links involving numbers which HAVE to be in the right order or it doesn't work!
The thing with 
s & computers is too; Yoda seriously does walk on the keyboard; & amazingly sometimes a word comes out!
Last night I was e-mailing a friend in USA & moaning about money & she typed in a dollar sign!!!(I didn't even know where it was on the keyboard!)
Don't worry about the spelling; everyone puts typo's in, if someone doesn't understand they'll get back to you. You can always use the preview button if it's really important though.

Neither did I for a while, & I wasn't brave enough to ask 'cos everyone seemed to assume I knew! It's a quick way of saying h2g2 (you can do it with only one finger! Anything that lets you hold a ciggie or bit of

Other jargon you might come across:
"newbie" - someone new to hootoo
"lurker" - when you go & look at other peoples conversations, but don't say anything. Personally I think it can be a very good way of finding out what it's all about before you have the confidence to join in. (Don't forget, it's possible for anyone on hootoo to look at anything if they want to, which is why you're advised not to put e-mail addresses etc.)

Now, heres something you can do for me!
A VERY good friend has his birthday on Dec 21st & I'm trying to get as many birthday messages for him as possible (especially in different languages) So if you click on the number below you'll get straight there. If you copy it down (VERY carefully!) & passit on to anyone you meet & ask them to do the same, I'd be really happy!
