Thanks for thinking of me, you were quite right, when I plugged in today there were loads of messages & I've now been contacted by 2 Aces, yes, they are nice helpful people, I reckon you ought to be one too!
Forgot to look at your "Space" to find out a bit more about you, I'll do that now.

There are irritating technical reasons why I'm not an ACE, mostly to do with my computer access and Yahoo groups. Otherwise I'd be up there with the rest of them.

But, I do like to pop in and say hello if I find an 'empty' space - when I registered last year, I popped back at lunchtime to find that an ACE had been by to say hello, and it made me feel really welcome. There's nothing more disheartening than no one visiting your page for ages. The ACEs do a great job.

Hope you liked my personal space, it's a combination of months of trial and error (mostly error) with GuideML to get like that. Every modern puppy needs a well decorated kennel, of course.

I went into your site last night, it's FANTASTIC!!! I went into the Pictures File & had great fun, it's inspired me to look at the Guide ML Clinic -- when I did my Space, I was in such a hurry to establish some sort of identity I just chose the easiest option; perhaps now I can see if I can get my head round adding pictures etc. As I might have mentioned, I'm not usually very techno-minded, so we shall see how it goes. Is your Space still accessible while you're messing about on it?

As far as I can tell, your space is still available, because your edits are done on a separate page - but I don't know for sure. A Guru will be able to give you more of an answer, I think.

I'm not technically minded either, to be honest - the page developed from a bit of plain text to what I have today over a period of months. The ACE who greeted me let me see how their page was constructed, which helped a lot.

It should show you the code I used to build the page, though it might look a bit incomprehensible as I haven't set it out very well. I might do something about that.

Feel free to use anything that looks good to you - that's how I managed it, popping to my mates' pages and asking "That looks really fab! How did you do it?".

If you build the page using Brunel rather than the older skins (Goo and Alabaster), then (I'm told) there's a 'GuideML palette' which you can use (I think I'm committing some form of sacrilege here - advising someone to use a different skin to Goo!). But as I'm a die hard Goo fan, that's something I'm going to have to do without.

Hi Yoda - I'm a year and a half old buck gerbil, who - as my name suggests - is a pale smoke grey colour. I must confess to being a greedy old so and so, particularly for grapes and carrot, though I don't like mango very much. I'm not fond of being handled, though I will permit people to stroke my fur if I'm distracted by something else. But I have lots of tubes to run around in outside my cage in my very own purpose built run. I also enjoy nibbling one of my humans, who very obligingly puts his fingers within my reach on regular occasions. I get the feeling that they think I might have vampiric tendencies.

Enjoy exploring GuideML - the sense of achievement when something works is immense. Well it was for me - perhaps I don't have much excitement in my life...

Just thought I'd say hi! It seems like an incredibly long time ago that I was a "newbie"; thanks once again for helping out when it allseemed very strange (still a bit at times now, but in a different way!)

Still not got round to GudeML yet, but I WILL one day soon!

Just noticed your good news at the top of the page re. the pound-shedding for you too! (I read somewhere that if you're going to have a drink, it's actually the least fattening,& anyway you need less of it to make you feel !)

Well - technically I've always been a twin, but being a heck of a lot bigger than my sister meant I didn't really look that much like her. But we're alike again now that the weight's come off.
