why thank you smiley - biggrin just a simple little space i worked up for myself. Yes, goldfish watching is great, however, my fish went belly up on me just yesterday. This confused me, as I had just changed the water and put a new filter in. hmmmm. oh well....so, an ace, are you? And is that a reference to United Friends i see in your name? Pointless word games are quite fun.

smiley - sadface Changing the water and filter may have been the problem, you need to leave enough bacteria as some of these are important to remove toxins from the water. Mine went belly up in September, as I had to leave the smiley - fish behind on starting university, and nobody else seemed to know how to care for it. I still have the tropical fish to watch however. smiley - schooloffish

Yes, got the ACE badge in May after being approved in the audition. The whole idea of auditioning to be an ACE seemd a bit smiley - weirdsmiley - laugh, but I guess it does make sense. smiley - erm

Actually, it's for a group I set up with help from a few others entirely for pointless word games. It also has a list of all the more popular games on h2g2. smiley - smiley

oh! a support group. I think i should consider that, i love next word games too much. Some days it is just me and another person trading off words, it's eerie. Feels like the rest of the usual players are watching us.... smiley - erm meh.

And I must check out this list of fun games on H2G2. I get bored with just the same game over and over again sometimes.

So, where are you from? it probably says this on your page smiley - smiley but I have checked it out and most likely already forgotten. I hail from Northwestern Ontario, Canada. Lovely and hot in the summer, very very cold in the winter.

I though a support group was kind of necessary, I play the word games far too much smiley - laugh. The list is useful to find more games smiley - bigeyes.

I'm in the UK, but where in the UK changes. Currently I'm in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (about 20 miles north of London). I go to university in Nottingham, so spend most the time there. Here the weather is too changable to comment smiley - laugh, though it's quite hot at the moment. smiley - cool

mmm. heat. I love it when it's sunny, but then again, I go for walks in thunderstorms. How long have you been in University? I am planning to attend university in Canada next year, if they'll have me in Winnipeg smiley - biggrin although, i feel much to young still to be going off into the real world. I'm in my last year of high school next year and I feel like a 12 year old. Which isn't all bad, as I get to have fun!

I love thunderstorms smiley - magic. It's not sunny just at the moment, somewhat overcast and occasionally rainy. At least that helps to cool the air down a bit smiley - smiley.

I've just finished my first year. Starting university was very, very smiley - weird, but great fun. smiley - wow Being home for the summer so very dull in comparison smiley - wah.

I'll be 20 this year smiley - yikes, now that does sound old. Nothing wrong with feeling like a 12 year old (says 19 year old who's written an article on Play Dough smiley - winkeye).

nice! I will have to find this play doh article sometime. 20 isn't old, 40 is, you have nothing to worry about just yet.

An interesting thing; The Rolling Stones are playing in Toronto soon (tomorrow in fact, i believe!) and Mick Jagger, whom is sixty soon, was quoted when he was 27 as hoping he is dead before he plays stuff like satisfaction and that when he's forty-five. hee smiley - laugh

So, what have you been up to this summer? Work, like me?

Laura

It's still in peer review ('just written' was accurate) smiley - laugh. Maybe it'll show up on the front page some time

No, 20 isn't all that old, just sounds quite a lot older than 19.

Work, yes. I did go on holiday and a fieldtrip, but I've been working for just over a week. Rest of the family's on holiday, so is very quiet at the moment smiley - bigeyes

So what do you do for work? (Or is it forgotten outside work hours smiley - winkeye)

I wish it was forgotten! smiley - biggrin

I work at a grocery store as a bagger up front, but I spend most of my time cleaning things, like the bathroom smiley - erm

It's alright though, as I work with most of my friends. They have trouble scheduling us all so we don't get up to mischief on shift....

It's very boring in our town, so after work my friends and I can usually be found either wandering town, in the local Tim Horton's bothering Andrew, our friend that works there, or sitting up on the rock cuts by the highway, waving at random cars. Oh yeah, I have an awesome social life smiley - cool

I hope your entry makes it up to the front!

It's very dull in my town too smiley - sadface. After work there isn't really anything to do at all - family on holiday and friends all over the place. Ah well, September will come eventually smiley - magic.

Worked as a cleaner for 6 months - gents loos are the worst smiley - yuk.

This is the very first year that I'm actually looking forward to the end of the holidays smiley - laugh.

It has to sit out its week incubation in peer review at the very least - it'll be some time yet. smiley - bigeyes

Hope you can take the wait. I am trying to think of something to write an entry about...I am working on one about how to amuse ones' self in a Tim Hortons when you have run out of money for coffee.

Which leaves the question of 'what's Tim Hortons?' smiley - huh

Tim Horton's Coffee and Doughnut Shop is a fine Canadian institution that is riddled across our country. There is one in every city and town, sometimes more than one. It's a great place to go for coffee and doughnuts, and to waste your life if you are a bored teen who still hasn't bothered to get your liscence to drive yet. smiley - biggrin

My friends and I go there to bother all our friends who work there, and we then wait kindly for them to get off shift so we can all wander town. We sit right next to the window near the drive-thru to see if any cute guys come through..... smiley - coolsmiley - tongueout

My provisional was £17 I think, not much really..

But yours, smiley - yikes

To add me to the car insurance would be £2000 however smiley - yikessmiley - wah

So I'm taking buses and trains instead..

Trains! We don't have many trains to ride in Canada. I don't know why, cause really they are much nicer than smelly busses. Oh well. Sorry i was away for a week as well, work calls smiley - erm

I have to use far too many trains..smiley - sadface but then I have to go between uni and home quite frequently.
