h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

welcome to h2g2. I'm an ACE (Assistant Community Editor - generally a friendly person to help you settle in) and I think you definately made the right choice in joining this incredible and huge community. I have been here for a few months now and am addicted to the place. First things first, you seem to have set your name (which is always a good start).

This place is huge (I had no idea how big it was myself when I first started) and so there are many things you can do on h2g2. You may wish to add guide entries which if you follow the link - <./>Contribute</.>, you will find out what it could be like to create something for the edited guide.

Oh, and one of the biggest things on h2g2 is the ability to talk to other researchers.

To do this you can either click reply (if you want to reply to something someone has already said) or click contribute at the bottom of an article/"Personal Space" if you want to create a completely new conversation.

I don't know if you are aware of guideML, but it would appear you haven't used it so far. Don't worry, if you click on the link - <./>GuideML-Clinic</.>, this should be able to help you with most of the problems you may have. The biggest advantage of guideML is that you can put a bit of gloss to your space, and make your personal space... "Personal" .

There are many pages you might want to try out : the <./>Welcome</.> page, <./>ThePost</.> page (which is great way of keeping up to date with what is going on in the community), the <./>DontPanic</.> help page where the guru's can help you with any of your more technical questions, oh and of course the <./>Smiley</.> page which will show you how to display a load of expressions while your writing E.g. .
