For the last few nights i have dreamt about seven large hairy spiders. The dream is very short.
I am at my father in laws house and he tells me to come and have a look at something. He takes me to the garage and shows me a long thready web across the corner of the room, on it are seven very large hairy brown spiders in a row.He goes to kill them (he kills everything he can, pigs roo, feral cats foxes etc)but one of the spiders says "kill one of use and there will always be seven", then the dream ends. when I wake up I remember feeling vaguely disconcerted,as if I should have done something that I haven't.
Any thoughts?
Helelou

Hello Creachy, JEllen/Doppelganger dropping by. It was an Egyptian king who dreamed about the cows, and the old testament Joseph who interpreted it.

hel2 - i am having a hell of a time trying to figure out your spiders is there anything else you can tell me. emotions, feelings, senses that sort of thing. otherwise i will have to consult 'The Reference Book', which i always try to avoid

Doesn't really matter now, but in the 2 weeks following the dream I won close to seven hundred dollars, so I think it was a dream of good fortune, each spider representing 100 dollars maybe

I drew a blank on this one too Creachy. If it were spiders in MY dream, it would represent something scary, but that doesn't seem to fit here. I've heard before that spiders are actually good (the nonpoisonous ones) because they get rid of other bugs. Isn't seven sometimes used to represent an unlimited amount? Like the seven loaves and fishes in the gospel. That interpretation would be reinforced by the fact that even if you kill one of the spiders, it comes back and there are still seven. But I'm still not sure how spiders relate to Helelou's worldview. Were you creeped out by the spiders, or was it just sort of a clinical interest, like "Oh, there are spiders"?

Was quite fascinated by them actually (sorry didn't mean to call you shirley )
And I think they were lucky
Hel2
p.s At first I thought they might have meant misfortune, but often symbols are reversed

Remember Charlotte's web - how the spider protected the little pig? Made him a prize winner? (Not that I am calling you a pig, LOL )

No! That's not true! The spider died but she had babies, and the pig lived a long and happy life. (*Scolds Creachy, needs to reread Charlotte's Web*)

*scratches head* Maybe you were joking, because how could a spider eat a pig?
