On this Echo situation you and Az are getting so hot under the collar on. I am apeaking to you in as near as private as I can here as I am concerned that you are in danger.

Some context:
As a druid I have had to be very careful on the net when dealing with children. I have run a number of fora, and am the moderator on a few too. We in the pagan community are constantly in danger of being accused of enticing children into our 'cults', especially by the christian parents of american children.

As a result we have set up a few rules of etiquette. The first and foremost is that we get the active permission of the child's parent or guardian before engaging with them in more than the most cursory manner.

This is to protect us as much as the child, for more lives have been ruined by the false accusations of hurt teenagers than by actual attempts at internet grooming.

I suggest you talk to Echo's father about this or cut all off-h2g2 contact. Consider also that one problem with h2g2 is that it is a public record and could also be used against an unwary adult talking to a child.

Thank you Math. I really appreciate your considered and considerate message. I just don't see Emily as a child. Phew, she could blow most people away in any discussion. It isn't as though she was a 10 year old or whatever!
