Can see the sense in your suggestions but unfortunately our work pc's are set up to block any attempted access to the internet! We can get into BBC but that is all

I work in a call centre for a directory enquiry service and I suppose they dont want people downloading stuff and crashing systems! So, unless I bring dictionary into work I have to rely on my acquired knowledge to solve anagrams

I take your point, tsa. But I don't think anyone can rationally object to 'off topic' messages unless there is a queue. Not at all the case at this particular sector of 24/7 when Lugworm hasn't submitted his latest contribution! Hey, maybe I could send you chunks of the net through here.

I agree with you but some people seem to get a tad stroppy if you dont stick to the topic in hand! I think it can liven the thread up from time to time personally Dont know what's happened to 'lugworm' but he/she appears to be offline and hasn't posted another anagram!! Should we post in his absence do you think?

I was just asking for people not to make the words too difficult cos it tends to slow the thread right down and think some people get disheartened if they find it too hard!

Hey. I find the whole thing boring anyway. One step up from a 'word search'. Guess I'm a bit of an egghead.

There should be a rule about submitting a question with one's answer. Don't think you can really define 'difficulty' in relation to a word. There is a 'word frequency' table in existence but it's very old, according to the last copy I saw.
