i had a chance to listen to the last lecture on language.... and thought it was excellent (noone could have missed by now that i am a totally unschooled head - who finds so many things perfectly interesting in a completely un-blasè (cant think of the right word) way - but then to be a good audience is a good justification for one's existence) ... with specific reference to your friend chomsky he did indeed dismiss him derisorily .. but then who believes in miracles...

enjoy your ping pong on the boards... i am a bit bored with it.. at one time there was some fun sub-text going on, but i guess it is a bit much to expect people would be able to keep it up to a standard which is fun and keeps one's interest... i am not really into victorian melodrama with people jumping from rooftops, and all kinds of suicides... and new nicks galore, like a tired hydra, with the same old rubbish trickling out of those heads....
