I'm always delighted to see the Punctuation Police giving their wise advice in Peer Review.
Have they ever considered writing an Edited Guide Entry on modern English grammar/punctuation topics? It would be good to refer prospective writers to some wise advice before they set out.
In addition, have they ever considered volunteering as a h2g2 Subeditor, where their skills could be put to excellent use?
G'night all!

We're delighted to meet you. We're not accustomed to being addressed by a region - it is an unexpected pleasure. As for the delay in responding to your greeting, we were tracking down an illegal shipment of aberrant apostrophes; that's kept us busy for months.
An Entry on the correct use of punctuation - that would be a challenge indeed. We know how difficult it is to lay down rules. The matter is under consideration.

Thanks for getting back!
I wouldn't want to be accused of wasting Punctuation Police time, of course. Maybe it's a job which could be handled by a Community Support Punctuation Police Officer (with the necessary training and backup, of course).
I look forward to hearing how you get on!
