Two weeks ago my galpals and I went out the Merrickville (historic town and shopping mecca) and had a spree. I bought a hat (what girl wouldn't), a beautiful glass light-catching ball from a glassblowing studio, and some venison burger meat....
Thrusday, I was feted (along with my brother-in-law whose b'day was a week earlier, to pizza and cake at my sister's place.
Yesterday, I has taken to lunch and to supper by different pairs of friends, and my supervisor at work made chocolate cupcakes with fidge icing for us to have in the office (by about 9:15 I was sort of bouncing off the walls from the sugar).
When I got home, my friend across the street and her kids invited me over for movies.
All-in-all, a pretty good birthday.
Personally, I am happier being 47 than I was being 19.
