Oldest brother is in hospital. Decided the day before his half marathon that maybe he should have the pain in his side checked out. He thought it was a kidney stone. It wasn't. It was a necrotic, hardened, walled off appendix which had adhered to surrounding tissues. He had surgery Friday night. Because he's a runner & never takes so much as a Tylenol, his heart rate dropped to 40 when they gave him morphine. He's doing better and thinks he'll be back to work Wednesday. I think the morphine must have really gotten to him.
I'm having a sleep study tomorrow night. We'll see how that goes. I know they do these all the time, but I don't know how they expect a person to sleep with wires running everywhere. That must be what the Ambien prescription is for. I'm tired of waking up 1-4 times a night for no discernible reason. Need to make an appointment for Mr. Emee for a sleep study too. I know for a fact he has apnea.
Peanut is growing in true weed-like fashion. So is baby. Baby will be walking any day now. She's into everything. Can't believe she's almost a year old.
Lots of drama at work but I don't have the energy left to expend on the retelling. Drama with my MIL too but that hasn't kept me from thinking about hitting her up to use her acreage for sustainable farming. I really don't know how I'm going to survive the Christmas trip to Wisconsin with her in the same vehicle.

So scary about your brother!
I don't know how they sleep for the sleep studies either. I guess you'll figure it out.
What kind of crops do you want to plant? I want to do a container garden, but I guess it would be kind of silly to do it this summer since we are planning on moving and those containers would be very heavy.

I slept by taking an Ambien pill. No way was I going to fall asleep without it. The doc called and I don't have apnea. I'm just fat and need to lose weight. Thanks buddy for telling me something I already knew. Any ideas on how I can get some sleep so I have a little energy to at least walk across the street to the gym? He recommended a book about insomnia. Whew! I feel so much better about still waking up 3 & 4 times a night.
For crops - veggies. There is money to be made in it, but it's very labor intensive and I don't know how many migrant veg & fruit pickers make their way to Oklahoma. Tomatoes, peppers & okra can't really be machine harvested without losing a lot of the produce.
