Yes, I am. We're home and doing well. Am tired, tired, tired and will likely take a nap in a few.

Mind you take that rest.

Rest is a bit of a challenge. She does sleep for about 4 hours at a stretch at night, but we haven't figured out how to get her to sleep at the same times each night. Hopefully she'll start sleeping closer to 6 hours at a time in the next few weeks.

When our children were newborn, the midwife told us to wake them periodically during the night for a feed. Well, we did that the first night, although she was reluctant to be woken. We did it again the second night but after that we gave up. Our daughter used to sleep right through for 12 hours. So, when our son was born, we did the same. We had more trouble with them as tewenagers and beyond.

I saw there was somebody posted to h2g2 about 'Breastfeeding' (difficulties thereof). Her name is Emi, so I wondered for a whoile if you'd changed your 'handle'.

They told us to wake her too. Since she's put on about a pound over her birthweight in 2 weeks, I let her sleep as long as she likes. I figure she's probably getting adequate nutrition. I should go look for that thread. I've had some difficulties myself.
