Pegasus - Neither bird nor plane Started conversation Jun 21, 2007
Hello again.
I was recently looking at some of the questions that have been asked on the SEx forum. There are some really interesting ones about quantum pyhsics etc. Someone asked why quantum physics and the theory of relativity are not compatible, there's some stuff on dark matter and also some stuff on cosmic radiation. It's all very interesting, and all stuff I'm interested in. Just thought I'd say thank you for advising me to take a look on there.
Oh yes, also found a question about quantum theory and computers by someone called Ictoan. It was an interesting conversation...
Byeee!!!

Wondered how long it would take
No probs. Glad you find it interesting - I thought you'd like it as I think we both have a similar interest in things scientific and the questions you ask are similar to the stuff I'm interested in.
Oh, and it is perfectly acceptable to ressurect an old thread if you have questions leading off the answers therein - and I hear that Ictoan person is very reasonable and willing to help. Not as daft as they seem, either.
Have you indulged your interest in philosophy and theology yet? There's some very heated discussions on here about various aspects of religion, faith, science, athiesm, rationalism etc. Even down to objectivity/subjectivity. I wouldn;t recommend you join in, but in between the ad hominen attacks there are some very interesting ideas and proposals.
There is also an entire guide section dedicated to article on the various angles of the subject.

I'm glad the Ictoan person is willing to help.
Thanks for the info about it being OK to resssurect old threads - I'll remember that.
I've been concentrating on reading the science stuff on here, but I'll have a read of some of the religion/philosphy stuff. To be honest, I've been talking more than finding information out, and I don't go on here very often.
Goodbye for now

Forgot to say, I'll try not to bother the Ictoan person very often.

s'okay, sure they won't mind!
And apols if the above sounded like me trying to tell you what to do on here. Tis none of my business really just providing you enjoy yourself
As for not being on here very much - that'll be because you're not a sad geek with no social life Or a speedy works based internet connection
Hope you enjoyed your weekend and was a shame to miss you.
Speak soon - you into exams now?

No, didn't sound like you trying to tell me what to do.
I think some people would say I am a sad geek with no social life, and I'm sure you're not either.
Yes, I enjoyed my weekend. Maybe I'll be here next time you visit.
My exams are done now until Christmas. Yay! I get the results in August so I'll let you know how I did then.

Thank you, I will have a look at it. I'm trying to find some good science books but they're all expensive.
Looking at Dr Who and Torchwood videos at the moment. There're some really good ones.

what sort of books you looking for? I may be able to recommend some.
I even have a couple myself but they are a bit maths heavy - they'll make you think and if you are thinking physics for uni it won't be long till you're reading them anyway. Bit dry though.
Currently I am just deciding whether I am going to want to watch any of season 4 Doctor Who as apparently Catherine Tate is going to be the new companion

I heard that Martha was still going to be his companion. It said in the Radio Times that she hadn't been sacked.

apparently they are going to 'develop' her character in Torchwood - she's going to be in that for the first 3 or 4 episodes I think. Then she comes back to Doctor Who for the end.
