Why do some people have eyes in front of their name?

It means they are currently logged in.
When you log in, if you look at your personal space under the 'researcher data' you'll see eyes against your name, whereas if you browse the site without logging in you'll see that your name has no eyes against it!

no probs.
I see you've posted on SEx: too, don't worry if some of the answers are a bit forthright, you do get a few highly strung academic types in there! They mean well and if you don't understand something keeping asking and someone will explain further or point you to a website that does.

BTW, you were asking me about entropy a bit ago. In order to understand it properly you need to understand the three laws of thermodynamics, try:
A467714 - The Three Laws of Thermodynamics
A540505 - Entropy versus Information - although not too sure about this one. Has some useful information and explanations but I think it takes some of the ideas a bit further than they can be logically taken. Make your own mind up (as if you need telling )

Will have a look at the pages you suggested.
I am also reading a book at the moment, not about entropy, but it is very interesting. Some bits are beyond me (my limited understanding of some science things can be annoying at times), but it is good anyway.

Well, if there's owt you want to know feel free to ask. If I don't know I'm pretty sure I can find someone who does! Either that or ask on the SEx forum.
Always willing to help out
