I mean, you had only just seen him a week earlier, hadn't you, so you could have started off with "Hi there Jack, did you get to read those comics I gave you about do-gooder hero types. Hope you can find some inspiration there..."). No, it was all scene setting about finding him as he uses his real name (which he doesn't).

Rather tellingly, you called him handsome. He responded by saying..."What makes you think I'm handsome, eh? You haven't seen me yet!"

Bit of a giveaway, that was. You have therefore never met him, so why would you say you had? Oh, I see now...that was a lie. Well done.

Remember it Was “Martina” (cough, cough) who met him as he showed her concrete proof of his soldiering. Probably much like the fake Id he showed "Fred". Here's a thought for you. Only active duty soldiers are given ID to show on the gate, etc. If he is not active, then any ID he has must be either fake or illegally kept (what "Gentleman" would do that?). The only other option is the TA one, but then we know that the TA don't get posted to replace troops being rotated. So either way, we have a liar, don't we?

So, who are you...?

Since "Martina" was never Cheshire Kitten (no record of her existence, you see?), and did not converse with Alpha Male at New Year (as he wasn't about then) you must be (ahem) "mistaken" about knowing her. Anyway, since I have the IP match I know that "Jack" and "Martina" are one and the same.

"Audrey’s" IP address matches that of his staunchest defender. Imagine that. If anyone is intersted I can email this to them (or post it..whichever) so they can compare against this defender. I have never received an email from such a person, so how else could I have it?

To be honest, the clues were all there. Audrey’s original postings were quite erudite in structure and terminology (and the Gytha reference was a bit obvious). The later postings were not so good. It was like Vicky Pollard meets Hulk Hogan (no offence intended). Obviously some role playing going on there. Don't give up that day job you don't have.

Oh, and [email protected] seems no longer active. It bounced my email. Funny that...you may need to get that sorted.

So, the question here is what kind of a man needs (and then gets) a person to lie for him. A gentleman, who tells the truth would never think of such a thing, and if it were suggested by someone else, he would not entertain it. But then a gentleman would not lie in the first place, would he?. No, I suppose it’s the kind of man who names himself after a comic character and gets his pseudonym to pipe up "he really is batman!!!" in an adoring fashion. Quite disturbed, but you can probably see where a person who has to lie about being in the Forces can find escapism in comics. And films. And books. And then blend it into his life so it seems almost real. My son is waiting for him to tell the one where he rescuses the Princess (who turns out to be his sister) from the evil Empir- oh, that one might be a bit obvious.

The other question is, now that you and he have engaged in this little deception, what credibility do you have?

I’m not trying to divide and conquer here. You have already made your allegiance clear and you are (to the bitter end) stuck with that decision, but what lies are you willing to tell to make it easier to believe his BS? Getting rid of me or trying to drag others into this will not hide the fact that he is lying. All you are doing is reinforcing that lie and dragging yourself to his level.

Think about it.

A tenner says that the response will be more of the same "No, you are the liar!!!" rhetoric rather than an attempt to counter what I have just proven and offer a rational (yeah, right...) counter explanation (there is no way to disprove it as the facts are right there).
