the goverment is out to make as much money as possible and targets the easier pickings. i.e. motorists and recycling.

Oh dear, you're just not doing your share. If everyone were like you, so many government people would have to quit that and look for REAL work. 
Would you actually want one of them working on your car, or making dinner for you at a carvery?

we have a lovely lady called liz who cooks our meals.
The owner of the hotel/pub/restaurant was trying to tell her how to cook as he had been in the industry for about 40 years.
Liz is Army trained and you know how many meals and the conditions in which they have to cook .

I think I may have mentioned that Milady was a military cook when we met. In the 8 years she served (literally), there must literally have been thousands who enjoyed her culinary skills. She was one of the rare ones that could take the low-grade foods that were provided, and make a very tasty meal from them.

whenever im ill, i never seem to sneeze much. so whatever im going through mow is major. usually if i do sneeze its the odd one, but this time its 4 in a row and even more.

I do hope you're feeling some improvements by now. I have been niggled by a summer bug for a couple of weeks, and yesterday woke at 2:30 in the morning with a pounding sinus head-ache. SO bad that sleep did not return. So it was a sick-day, and felt like crap ...
