thank you kat
i treated myself to a bottle of moet & chandon champagne as it was a special birthday..
its not something ive ever done before.
i usually stick to cider.
i bought one bottle for me and some cheaper 'cav
a' for the guests which is the spanish equivilent of champagne and 4 times cheaper.
i wasnt impressed with the moet at all and i reckon i should have bought 'cava' for me too
i also ended up with 2 birthday cakes. bith rich fruit cakes with all the icing and everything.
guess what we will be eating for the next week ot 3?

Helen I am very happy that you have had such a good day.
Champagne is something that has taken me a long time to start liking, one I have seen is the rose. I know there is something called champagne cocktail but I do not know what the recipe is.
Cider is one of my favourite drinks too.
I hope you will be able to get through the cakes.

I realised that, after i had posted and had to go offline.
but you are still a taurean
you might have to have some swiss roll, if this birthday cake carries on going the speed it is....

No worries!
I'm enjoying being 50, what with the new dinosaur being discovered and that gorgeous sarcophagus...what a week!
I'm used to "last times" and "seen it all" so it's nice to be surprised
hope you're enjoying being 50 too!
