Well, my oh my. Someone has left me a couple of messages about the Venus - his dad served on her during the same Arctic convoy as my own father. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/F100134?thread=648523&skip=0&show=20 This is exciting stuff, and I have now emailed Ian both to thank him for getting in touch and to try and find out more. The trail had gone cold - is it warming up again? Fingers crossed.
