MESSAGE RECIEVED
[The King of the smallish kingdom of Malibu has summoned (no, not like Green Magic or Espers) you to his palace on urgent matters. The kingdom is surrounded by mountains, a big forest, and an ocean. Which way will you go?]
JOURNEY TO TOWN
Mystrunner, Eric, Wist, Fionchad, accompanied by their henchman Lampwick set off for the Palace. On their way they take custody of one Damien, who appears to be possessed.

Autair is happy to trail them from a distance.

Their journey takes them deep into the mountains where after a brief scuffle with some trolls, they are joined by the mage Armand

DEATH OF DAMIEN
An ambush by mystical creatures reduces the sixe of the party..

*Damien looks up at the creatures on the hill. They look like small Grim Reapers, riding a circle of cards. Almost a dosen of them appear, and draw cards... The Cards project blasts of magical energy, proportional to their number. 2 is very weak, King is Very Strong. Ace casts Death. Damien barely avoids the first blast, a Jack, but a 6-shot hits him in the chest, knocking him over.*
Damien was struck by a blast of energy, and collapsed. He rose again to his feet, blitzing the Reapers with magic. Many died, and the others fled. He slumped back to the floor.*
[Damien] I...feel... happy... at last... I'm sorry I put... you... in danger. Fiends... are at.. attracted to me... This way... you're safe... and I'm... happy. Go... Forget me... Before... It gets loose. I'm in no pain. Just... go... I'll hold it... draw the... fiends away...

meanwhile, zid and ma chao battle in an airship above with some kind of weapon, a losing battle.
ma Chao jumps ship leavig zid to crash into a mountain.
The Dragon armoured merc is quick to join the party, followed by Zid of whose airship little remains,
and Autair who finaly catches up.
THE CITY
After talking their way past the city guards with the aid of invites and Armands family connections,
there follows a fight through swams of thugs and hirelings. In the process, they rescues Mara, a mysterious white robed mage, who promptly vanishes

PALACE RECEPTION
[King] Well, my daugter, Princess Sera, has been kidnapped! The only evidence we've found is a ransome note
[The note says, in bold gothic letters, "IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PRINCESS AGAIN ALIVE, YOU MUST SURRENDER THE SOULS OF THE KINGDOM TO THE DARK ROI'NAH." Beneath that is a strange symbol, much like the left half of a skull with a green snake wrapped around it. The paper has an evil feel to it, giving the impression that whoever these people are who fallow the Dark Roi'Nah are, they mean business.]

Armand searches the library fo rclues whilst the others try other means
The remainder of the party regruop in the more friendly surroundings of a local inn where the party is
increased with the addition of Dirten, a mercenary, and Sparky, veteran of Galyana and companion to Eric.

INFORMATION GATHERING
An intricate setup for the local wildlife provides little in the way of information, but much enjoyment,
meanwhile Armand is having more luck in the Library.
[Armond] Well, I've found something interesting. The Dark Roi'Nah is an evil god who likes to subjugate entire kingdoms, but then the kingdoms sort of die off and he moves on to someplace else. I believe he currently has a major stronghold -- which is where he's likely hiding the princess -- in the mountains [indicates this on a map of the kingdom], but that there is a magical barrier that cannot be passed through unless we have two keys: the Forest Key, and the Water Key. They probably aren't actual /keys/, per se, but they work as such. In any case, they can be found in a temple in the forest [indicates that on the map] and ... in an undersea palace. [points at where the sea is on the map]
BORROWED AIRSHIP
An airship is borrowed from a local captain to be used as transport to the forest.
Mara follows behind on a conjuration of her own, and informs all present
You don't know about the Forest, do you? It's got one of the highest levels of Evil Energy in the whole country! At that level, sometimes only white magic can harm some of the monsters there
Sparky somehow finds his own way, although hes not sure how.
A mid-air collision adds Kraal to the party
FIGHT IN THE WOODS
An epic battle ensues with many orcs slain
Kralls orc hunt comes ot fruition with a duel with an Orc chieftan, who is now presumed dead.

THE FOREST TEMPLE
The party approach the outskirts of the temple.

free form fantasy roleplay

At last, a journal entry, or at least somewhere to introduce Wist
adventurer and alter ego, currently off rescuing damsels in distress, assuming the party ever make it to the palace to discover the quest in the first place.

did somebody mention a quest?"

*Short cloaked figure sidles in(about 5 foot ish)
extracts a knife from the depths of the cloak and starts cleaning fingernails.

"The names Wist", or more commonly know as give-that-back-you-little-aaaargh...
*throws back hood revealing a human looking face, with possibly a hint of elf in the distant past.
"Finder of the lost" (thief, nothing has ever been proven), "Acrobat extrordinaire"
*cloak flicks aside to show a slim wirey figure hinting at unexpected strengh and almost impossible reflexes.

able to produce an almost inexhaustable supply of knives, wires and thiefly articles from the depths of the cloak.

"Things have been a little quiet lately, i could do with some action"
