it does feel that way,when Hiccup left for school it wasn't raining for the first time in ages. They always cut across the grass and you can hear them squelching. She has been to the park, while she doesn't think the ponds are much fuller the green area is flooded

well you could go out with a bucket and relocate some of the water if you really wanted to, but I think it might be a futile exercise all things considered

maybe not, people already think I am a little odd for taking down binbags and tidying up but they have got used to it, the bucketing might be a push too far

perhaps just a little one,
but you could get them involved too, some sort of pond refilling bucket brigade

I have images of us with little beach buckets

perhaps I should organise a play session at the park and just get the children to empty their wellies in the pond on the way out, probably as effective as buckets

yes those wellies do seem to hold a lot of water,
as monster found out the other day, they don't keep your feet dry if you splash the water over the tops!

I was thinking about when I posted

if we wrung all the children out as well, job done I reckon

now that does sound like a good idea,
the ducks will soon be back and the too I reckon
