Male Emotions
Posted Sep 17, 2002
Guys can, at will, shut off their emotions much more effectively than girls can. From all the guys I've talked to, most agree that if they feel that something is going to hurt them they can easily pretend that it doesn't affect them or even just shut it into a little part of them where it is quickly and quietly assassinated so as to cause no discomfort to the male in question.
So why can't girls do this same thing? Are we just more in touch with our emotions? Or is it just that we are strong enough to deal with our emotions without getting rid of them?
Some examples from guys I've talked to:
1. One male friend said that his father recently informed him that he is dying of emphysema
