Just for tonight
Posted Mar 17, 2003
I`ve watched U2 live in concert... amazing band.
It all goes to show that "make love, not war" is slightly wrong... it should be "make music, not war".
Love can be transitory, war is destructive but music will go on and on and on. We need it.
It can make you happy when you`re feeling sad, sad when you are feeling happy, downright angry, sentimental, can give you answers when you need them most and make you dream dreams.
Music.

Pondering again..

My Mum was right.
Not very often one gets a chance to say that, so I`m grateful.
Bon Voyage.

Strange day and I just KNEW it would be!! :-/
Posted Nov 4, 2002
I don`t know where to start really except to say that I feel that I have `dropped myself in at the deep end` with no snorkel!!
I`ve been searching for a new job and I have sort of `settled` into the routine. So what happens! Out of the blue, I receive a phone call from a potential employer who I thought had forgotton about my application!!
Taken by surprise, I answered loads of questions and was informed that while I had been on the phone, I had been tested for all 3 main catagories... elocution, communication and spelling!!
Apparently, I passed everything with flying colours and the only spelling I came `unstuck` on was.... Pergeot!
Thats still not right is it?
How does one spell Pergot... Pergout.. Pergeout....
AHHHHHHH.... I still don`t know!!
Anyway... it appears that I have been selected for interview and I am supposed to attend tomorrow!
I really have no idea what I`m doing at the moment which is probably an excellent sign!!
The next entry shall be an update of whether I feel I have totally displaced myself, or if I have only displaced myself a little.
(Fireworks everywhere!! Yak)

Thingite. :-)
Posted Nov 1, 2002
I am now a Thingite and have adjusted my name accordingly. If I come up with a better one, it will be updated again.
The time is now 11.35 p.m. and `the lads` are still in here!
I have got a double dose tonight thought because not only are my eldest and his friends in ONE room, I also have my YOUNGEST and his friends in ANOTHER!!
This means that there are now about 11 of them with ages ranging from 17 to 25 all upstairs.
My sanity is slowly slipping into oblivion.
Nothing wrong with being a little crazy occasionally but it`s what GETS you there that counts!
11.40 p.m. and counting.
The older ones will soon be vacating the premises. (I`m about to make sure of it!)
The younger ones are staying the night, so unfortunately I can`t chuck them out!
(They`re all lovely really!)

Finally....
Posted Oct 30, 2002
... I`m working things out!!
I have tried to unsubscribe from the conversations listed in my space to do with my journal entries and it wouldn`t let me!!
However, I have now discovered that a simple solution is just to remove the journal entries from my space!!
As for THIS jounal entry... I have decided that I`m a little fed up but that will pass.
For instance... I would really like to make some adjustments to my space BUT, being on a digibox at the moment, this isn`t possible.
I say this because if I go into `Edit Space`, the latter part of my `coding` has disappeared and I have to keep re-doing it. This doesn`t happen if I`m on the pc, but unfortunately, I cannot GET to the pc!!
The reason for this is because, last night, some of my YOUNGEST sons friends stopped the night and as they were awake until the early hours of this morning, they are now still asleep!!
The pc is in my sons bedroom which is why I can`t get to it!!
(Oh my laws! I can hear movement from above!! Does this mean that the `stay-awake-all-nighters` have decided to make an appearance?! Probably not!
The things I put up with!!
I am such a saint!!
Gotta go.
