What are you going to do about work - are you going back next week?

Not sure what`s happening. The doctor said that its absolutely vital I don`t go back now before my voice has totally recovered, or it will just keep coming back and could do more permenent damage!!

Pest... it really is.

Do you actually know what the problem is (does the doctor know)? It seems weird that it keeps coming back - is it just a virus you can't build up immunity to?

Well, I think its an allergy to the job.

Seriously, it could be that I haven`t got rid of the virus properly and because the job involves something akin to 600 calls a day, it just keeps irritating it and it flares up again!

It`s taking a long time to recover now though. Its a lot better than it was but still yakky.

The other day, J said it could tell I was shouting at him even though he couldn`t actually hear anything.

(It must have been the red, flaring eyes that gave it away!)

Yeah - sometimes when I've been teaching and my voice has gone the kids could still tell I was shouting at them! Teachers often have throat problems too - mine gets bad even after one day so I'm glad I don't work full-time (I know I should have control without having to scream at them - but it's hard when most of the kids are taller than me!)
Seriously though - it may be an allergy - thought of getting that checked out?

Maybe its something to do with the air-conditioning in the building! I know that sounds a little silly, but I do know that they were having problems with it a little while ago. (Emitting toxic fumes or something!)

(Laws..... it`s just started absolutely POURING down here!! We had ONE burst of thunder earlier. I was hoping it would lead to a storm, but it didn`t!)

Still haven`t heard from the BFD!

It could be an allergy. I`ll mention that when I go on Friday.

It doesn't sound silly at all about the air conditioning - I don't trust it at all - ideal way to spread bugs around if you ask me.
We haven't had any thunder - I think you're in a totally different climatic zone! We had torrential rain yesterday but today hasn't been too bad - just the odd shower.

Just had a mini-storm - see e-mail.

I`ve seen email.

Sounded fantastic...all we`ve had is torrential rain.

Its quite funny really. Theres you, Wayne and I all in different areas, all waiting for a good storm to hit!

Trouble is, when they hit, I`m always tempted to go and do some chanting in the garden.

I can just picture it. You chanting with raindrops dripping off the end of your nose!
Don't stay out in the rain too long though - that won't help your throat at all!

I`ve been known to get absolutely drenched and loved every second. I`ve had all the lads out there too. (In a manner of speaking!)

There was one time, David and Mark (a friend) decided to go out on the motorbike during a storm and I was out in the garden. When the storm was over, the sun came out wonderfully.

The lads came back soaked, I was soaked and I`d got dripping clothes everywhere. All of a sudden, I shouted to Dave "Whats that noise?! Theres a strange noise in the house!!"

Turns out that in his excitement, he`d left the bath running! It was coming through the kitchen ceiling and everything. A couple of the lads were standing with buckets and kitchen towels frantically trying to hold the ceiling together!

Sun outside and all the water was INSIDE!

You`re quite right though... it wouldn`t do my throat any good.

Thanks for what you said about my space - I just thought it didn't sound as exciting and lively as most. It was probably just the mood I was in at the time.
How long ago was your ceiling ruined? Hope it's all fixed now.

My eyes were closed again, but I`m here once more.

You`re more than welcome to what I said in email. I meant it!

There were some great shots on a programme earlier. Skydiving females doing yoga positions on their way down! Am I giving you any ideas here.

The ceilings fine. Its all been gutted and redone etc since. The things that I`ve put up with over the years.

The pc seems ok, but the tv emails are still playing up a bit. This is why I have problems when I`m in here sometimes because I come on via a link in my tv emails. (Don`t very often come in on the pc.)

I`m going to check my emails in a bit.

About Friday, don`t think I can make it, but you should still go. Have some fun.

Gonna go and try emails in a sec. (I say TRY!)
