Are thinking and feeling the same thing?

What My daughter Says
Posted Dec 18, 2002
Children often say amazing things. You laugh and then forget. So I'm adding to my journal so that when she's old and grey I can show her.
This weeks;
On going down a very fast rapid ride at Centre Parcs with her much bigger and older sister.
"Look at this bruise on my leg. It's where you smudged me up the wall."
"Mum. Y'know if I ever feel sad or fed up, all I have to do is think about Christmas coming and then I feel happy."

Things I Can't help Liking
Posted Sep 10, 2002
Cleaning the build up of fluff and the sticky stuff that holds it together, off the in side of my mouse.
Eating a Creme Caramel by carefully slicing bits off the edges until you're left with a wobbly tower.
Biting the chocolate off chocolate covered things first.
Flower smells.
Tickling dogs behind the ears.
Envelopes from the postman with the recognisable handwriting of a friend.
Scratching insect bites.
Crying at 'feel good' films. when there's a fresh box of tissues near my elbow - otherwise forget it.
Saying things to people so they say "I don't believe it!"
Watching horses gallop, but not on TV. Real life galloping is best.
Music.
Good books and films with good endings.
Sticking chocolate on the roof of my mouth and letting it melt, part of the fun is that it makes you talk funny.
Joking with my funny sister, while she wipes a chocolate donut over her face and then hearing her say with a beautific smile "That felt GREAT."
Imagination.

Things I Can't Help Hating
Posted Sep 9, 2002
Todays.
Opening tin cans with a manuel opener. Esepcially if it's a giant tin of dog meat. They're hard to open than there's always the potential for personal bloodshed. Also the smell.
Cleaning filters of any machine, especially dishwashers, which are placed in such a position as to give a person curvature of the spine.
Cruelty to things that are smaller, in body or mind.
A good film or book with a bad ending.
Cold rain down the back of my neck.
